thanks Bailey...yes I'm fine...just really cross at myself! Hoping it wont need a new bumper and can just be repainted as it is the smallest of scratches...if it was my car I certainly wouldnt be bothered....but the drivers sister said they dont repsray anymore they will ust replace the bumper! Only passed my test in June so dont really want my insurance hiking up if I can help it so wass hoping to just pay the cost myself...but if its £400 fora new bumper then I've got no hope.....hmmm unless I can find 10 Bakugans on DTD and return them all...and even I'm not that cheeky!!!!
Offer them £200 for the damage, it will be worth it to save your future premiums...sounds like the're trying it on!"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

little grabbit for veggie folks - tesco own brand frozen qtr pounder veggie burgers or also bbq veggie burger 2 packs 47p each - was in littlehampton - must admit i cleared them out, as my kids love them and were only 6 left, but worth a look in other stores.
Are these very spicy. Daughter is vegetarian but finds some vegetarian stuff too spicy. Thanks.0 -
Have seen a couple of people post that they visit the Gi11ingham store (I am thinking of the big one next junction up from Hempsted Valley) does anyone know if there is a working scanner in that store? They always seem to be broken when I visit:mad: thanks
It wasnt working yesterday....Searched for 4p items too and scanned loads found nothing....I have to avoid that store for a while as had a big DTD monday night and the manager commented on it when I went yesterday x:eek:0 -

theres nothing worse than a bumped car!!! such a horrible sound, sorry this happened, hopefully karma will come back and ul get a huge glitch to pay for it???
would advise against offering to pay, not only in case the other driver is uninsured, but also because you would have to exchange personal details, get involved in financial dealings with someone who is p!$$ed off at you, so likely to try and rip you off, and also you'd have to get them a replacement rental car while theirs is being fixed... too much of a nightmare to consider... best to take this a lesson to not check the dates on your frijj bottles whilst in control of a car
(said not by a pompous know it all, but by by someone who survived an 85mph crash in her Fiesta on the M4 when she was 17 and whose Dad is a car insurance claims investigator)

thanks to everyone for yur concern and advice on my car bump earlier....I'm waiting on her phoning me (I do have her number to chase her up though) to see what price shes been quoted...fortunately its not like it needs doing as an emergency so if the quote is extortionate I'm going to try and haggle to get her to accept cash instead...the apparent scratch is a thin line not even an inch long...and cant be sure that I actually did it (although the bump was my fault)...so will wait and see what happens....i will keep you all updated though!
I am now consoling myself with a fudge brownie Friijj and a mince pie
If the scratch is as light as you say it is go to Halfrauds and purchase a bottle of T-Cut. Use it with a damp rag to polish out the scratch and you will never know that it was there. The scratch may have been there all along and she just never noticed it until she went looking for damage. Sounds like it was done with a supermarket trolley TBH.
Many years ago I reversed in to a Taxis front end. I pulled forward a smidge, got out and the taxi driver was jumping up and down saying "look what you did" whilst pointing at a round hole in the side of his bumper. Where it was no part of my car could even have came in to contact with the part of his car where it was, not to mention that there was nothing on my car that could have caused such a round hole. No amount of pointing this out to him would make him see sense. I spotted a copper in the distance and said "let's ask his opinion shall we?" and all of a sudden he suddenly had somewhere to be. I thought that was an end to it......
A week later I got home from work to find my dad in a bit of a mood. It turns out that taxi driver was also a relief postie and he knew my dad quite well. He had been delivering post to ours and seen my car parked outside (I had a tractor as a courtesy vehicle quite a lot:rotfl:) Needless to say once I told dad what had happened and I suggested he ask the postie to see his taxi so to prove I didn't cause the damage. I don't know what happened but I never heard about it again.0 -
