They said it was an old promotion and that was the price even tho there was no sel,so they would honour the price but that was it, the sa even spoke to the store manager and wouldn't do it, thing is i dont want to get known in the store as it is my local if it had been further way would off kicked up a fuss.
thing is they had the bakugan also stickered and now i dont want to try, as it is my main shopping one.

So don't kick up a fuss then. Better to lose the occasional battle to keep your head below the radar.

As I said earlier, depending on what is written on the receipt, you will get either £30 or £60 refund if you return it. If they give you £60 then its a result anyway, and if £30 then nothing ventured noting gained as they say. Let us know how you get on.
  • I thought the same re the title thing nikkilala, too easy!!
Hasten to add though it doesn't seem to have been adopted by martins mob as I have yet to

qpr10 youve made me cry more with your kind comments, i'm really blubbing now. thanks for the thoughts, it is appreciated, will get a tissue.

    wendyak you'll be fine :grouphug:

I'm sure there is a way out of it... but it's good you know in advance so you can try and ask as many people as you can for help and advice... :)
  • it could be hormones (blame the baby) but i had a really good cry, i might be able to get my kids christmas presents this year, we might be able to buy a cooker, i cant tell you how much this will help us. according to the lady on the phone at the moment she said its just over 100 a week for income support for me and my husband, he wont be forced to do long distance driving, ohh here we go again.

eta: you would have thought the nurses or community nurse would have told me this. aparently we was entitled to carers allowance as soon as the little one got dla, that was when her tube was fitted. its been in 2 years but i was working full time until i got pregnant again and they signed me off. so if it goes from when i wasnt working thats 14 weeks i have been able to get it.
Have you tried applying to the family fund? They can help with things. I really must run...

  • :rotfl: I'm trying real hard to run out the door, but I had to post this because i will either forget the poster or their will be 20 odd pages by the time I log back on.

lovecrafting: Please make an appointment to visit the CAB (citizens advice) They will help you get everything you are entitled to, you need to ask for a welfare rights person. I think you might be able to get the carers allowance and the child tax credits disability element backdated for how long that I'm not so sure. But the CAB are the people who will know. Good luck.

i will thank you, the lady on the phone asked me how did i not know that i was entitled and how on earth did i manage on what i am currently getting, my reply being because no one told me and i thought i would be scrounging if i asked. and the second answer, with great difficulty and feeling like a sponger, and the second answer was by getting into lots of debt and i really dont know how. i will make an appointment tody.
  • Re returning DTD items you can take back to another store and get a refund for the FULL amount you paid, confirmed by HO yesterday.
I didn't do it but I know someone who did without getting trouted.

  • lovecrafting you ain't a bloody sponger and don't you dare ever think that again! Your child is ill and your family need help, you are entitled to these benefits and they are there to make things a little easier. Good luck.

Note to myself start on page 123.
