  • i know this wasnt directed at me but thank you so much, i have just found out that i am entitled to income support, carers allowance and housing benefit. i dont know how much it is but boy will it make life easier, even if its only 50 a month or so we have been managing on child tax credits and feeling guilty at borrowing from dd2's dla aparently there is a disabled premium on tax credits aswel, seriously thank you so much we really needed to know this with the ammont we have been struggling. especially with the rent being paid thats like 80% of our tax credits leaving us just over 100 a month for food gas electric and everything, going to be busy on the phone today i think.
CA is £55ish per week then you get a carer premium on Income support not sure how much though if you have a husband/partner.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

it could be hormones (blame the baby) but i had a really good cry, i might be able to get my kids christmas presents this year, we might be able to buy a cooker, i cant tell you how much this will help us. according to the lady on the phone at the moment she said its just over 100 a week for income support for me and my husband, he wont be forced to do long distance driving, ohh here we go again.

eta: you would have thought the nurses or community nurse would have told me this. aparently we was entitled to carers allowance as soon as the little one got dla, that was when her tube was fitted. its been in 2 years but i was working full time until i got pregnant again and they signed me off. so if it goes from when i wasnt working thats 14 weeks i have been able to get it.

Back to posts, I was devastated last week when my £30/4p jacket was found to have a tag once I arrived home, we went on utube and my ds2 used a large pair of scissors and wiggled it off.
Pliars would do just as well and there was no damage to the knitted fabric which was quite delicate.
I must admit I felt like a shoplifter but could not face going back and getting trouted with such a prize item.

The 4p jeans I got didn't alert on SS to a tagged item, so I just walked out waited for security to see me and got him to take it off.

  • :rotfl: I'm trying real hard to run out the door, but I had to post this because i will either forget the poster or their will be 20 odd pages by the time I log back on.

lovecrafting: Please make an appointment to visit the CAB (citizens advice) They will help you get everything you are entitled to, you need to ask for a welfare rights person. I think you might be able to get the carers allowance and the child tax credits disability element backdated for how long that I'm not so sure. But the CAB are the people who will know. Good luck.

You can't get trouted, its yours, bought and paid for. If anyone even so much as suggests depriving you of it, inform them that it'll be theft and treated as such!
