  • Evening everyone:)

With everyone talking of food its making me hungry! Having braised steaks tonight with vegetables:D
Anyway, another pair of 4p Rugby socks today, more kellogs and a Zhu Zhu hamster for £1.00, other than that, pretty rubbish. Back to college tomorrow after a staff development day yesterday and study day today so better get my work done.
Will pop back later, have a nice night everyone!
    xx

One well trained OH well done :D :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

He's getting there I sent him out for the duracell glitch a few weeks ago and all on his own he decided it would be a good idea not to use the clubcard :T, although he keeps telling me that our house is not big enough for all my "stuff". (2 of us in 3 bed :o) but in my defence the smallest room is my craft room and the second bedroom is also storage for our business. but that doesn't explain the bulging kitchen cupboards, fridges and freezers or airing cupboards :rotfl:

Trained? never;) Haven't changed my personal opinions on a few things but tread a bit more carefully and apply the maxim "when in Rome etc" :D

At the risk of getting some negative comments I did feel little sorry for EssexHebridean. I don't think they were trying to wind anyone up and some of the responses did tend to escalate things.

I know I did feel as though I'd stepped on a hornets nest. in the early days and that leads to a natural desire to respond in the same manner. I always try never to respond immediately to anything that irritates me for fear of over-reacting:cool:.

Nikkilala: I felt I had to give a bit of support to NickiC1980 on 12. Hope you didn't mind. I was wondering whether you were just reaching your peak rattiness in the no smoking challenge. I got very ratty when I gave up many years ago. OH reckons I've never recovered:D

That's ok Artha, you were probably right;) Very out of character for me:o

I've only joined the discussion once, I can't seem to get out if the habit of just reading all the posts. I am very grateful to all who contribute especially as I have benefitted so much from all the lovely glitches & enjoy the friendly banter.

Today I was lucky to find 2 of the 4p purses, 3 packs of frozen quarter pounders 75p, 2 impulse with vouchers making them 50p & 2 disney parachutes 50p.

I seem to be able to pic up most of the glitches as my store not really on the ball but i've never found any knife blocks. My 2 local stores know me too well as i've had my share of DTD'S so my darling hubby bravely got 2 light strikes. He had to ask for DTD & wait while manager was called etc. but he knows the score now. I was very proud of him.

    Afternoon/Evening all

Still haven't caught up since this morning..... I'm up to page 64 and will carry on reading after this post.

Firstly, thanks to QPRanger for the email address, I will be sending an email shortly :)

And secondly....... OMG I can hardly contain myself........ I managed to get a 4P ITEM!!!!!!!:eek::eek: I found one pair of the lounge bottoms with the skulls on them and got them through SS without the SA seeing :j:j

I also found the Chuggington sets (I took the last two for DD2 and nephew) after searching high and low for them for ages :):)

I also got some 25p Flash wipes (72 pack/orange scent) which were all chucked in one of those square wire basket/cage things in the middle of the store, no SEL on it. :):)

Also got another Plain Black baby changing bag for 20p! Description on tag is Tesco Plain Change Bag and the barcode is 5051622 944727 - looks like a plain black shoulder-type bag with a changing mat/nappy zip up holder inside. I did mention this in an earlier post but haven't been able to put on a picture. :o

Don't know if this was store specific but also scanned the Babyliss Mens Grooming Kits. The 10 in 1 scanned at SEL price of £29.97 but the SEL for the 6 in 1 was £12.97 and it scanned at £16.64? Small DTD for anyone who might need one of these, but please check first.

    HTH :)

Right, back I go to catch up......... please feel free to all have a T break while I'm reading back :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
If at first you don't succeed ........ ;) Alternative autism therapies should be free!!

Anyone got any MSE tips on stopping carpet sliding on laminate flooring?

My house is bl00dy freezing even though it's a mid terrace, we don't get any sun on it. so being a MSE (tight @rse ;)) I decided to buy and end of roll carpet for £9 instead of a rug for £70+ to try and keep the place a bit warmer. The problem is it's sliding around all over the place even with the couch on it one end and my £1 T's coffee table at the other.

I thought about double sided sticky tape but I don't want to ruin the flooring as the house is rented.

Answers on a postcard please, thank you :rotfl:

You can get this weird rubber netting that goes underneath and stops mats and carpets slipping, I've got it under my rugs, will check it out later and see if I can see where it was from:)
