    Morning gang! :)

Anyone know if you can freeze cheese?
Fancy getting 3 blocks tomorrow but unless I can freeze it I'm worried I'll just chomp it all too quickly!

Yes you can. If you get parmesen cheap, freeze it and grate off what you need when you need it.

If you pick up a copy of the Tesco magazine, front cover woman with white hat brown hair and white coat and you turn to page 39 Buy any 3 gifts and get the cheapest free from the 1st November to 3rd January 2012...the pictures are the half price gift sets that started today  eg, vaseline tin, small impulse set (pink), Lynx, Dove men + care and another Dove set.

    You're a genius...

Apologies if this has already been covered - I have just got in and have a 'few' pages to catch up on but didn't want to delay confirming that this worked.

    I bought 9 Dove gifts at £3.25 each - original price £6.50.

Paid £29.25 and went to CS with magazine in hand. The young lady checked with the department manager who said that they weren't doing 342 at the moment because they were doing half price instead and 342 would be reinstated when half price ended.

I showed her the magazine and said that there was no mention of the 342 not working if another offer clashed with it and it was also in date.

She checked with a Manager who agreed to refund me 'just this once' and she gave me DTD without my having to ask.

So, a spend of £29.25 and a refund of £19.50 giving a total cost of £9.75 for 9 nice smelly gifts.

    Many thanks OP.

purdita, the whoopsie time seems to vary from store to store, and not always even at the same time in the same store!

But if it's any help, if I go around 8pm, all the meat etc has gone, but fruit and veg are cheap. Bread and cakes are cheapish, they seem to get reduced further, in mine, around 9pm

Noooooo. Bring back The Risk. They were awesome on Saturday! Brought back courtship memories for me! Reminiscent of Boys 2 Men.

But they got the lowest number of votes, less than Johnny & Kitty so its only fair that Johnny is reinstated.

I have happy memories of Boys 2 Men, some friends of mine were a group and sang a couple of B2M songs in their act they were good times :D

Artha is okay now he's been trained ;)

Trained? never;) Haven't changed my personal opinions on a few things but tread a bit more carefully and apply the maxim "when in Rome etc" :D

At the risk of getting some negative comments I did feel little sorry for EssexHebridean. I don't think they were trying to wind anyone up and some of the responses did tend to escalate things.

I know I did feel as though I'd stepped on a hornets nest. in the early days and that leads to a natural desire to respond in the same manner. I always try never to respond immediately to anything that irritates me for fear of over-reacting:cool:.

Nikkilala: I felt I had to give a bit of support to NickiC1980 on 12. Hope you didn't mind. I was wondering whether you were just reaching your peak rattiness in the no smoking challenge. I got very ratty when I gave up many years ago. OH reckons I've never recovered:D

Anyone got any MSE tips on stopping carpet sliding on laminate flooring?

My house is bl00dy freezing even though it's a mid terrace, we don't get any sun on it. so being a MSE (tight @rse ;)) I decided to buy and end of roll carpet for £9 instead of a rug for £70+ to try and keep the place a bit warmer. The problem is it's sliding around all over the place even with the couch on it one end and my £1 T's coffee table at the other.

I thought about double sided sticky tape but I don't want to ruin the flooring as the house is rented.

Answers on a postcard please, thank you :rotfl:

Phew just caught up, though it added another 2 pages while reading.

We have run out of milk so just said to OH "just nipping to Mr T's". His reply..."why what have you seen" haha he knows me too well :)

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

Angelina - have you been to L*ng Eat*n today to look for that bag? If you got it great - if not, someone else has nabbed it! Just been for cereal (none ofthe 49p stuff), bread and milk....had a look while I was there for other bags - that brown one has gone, and the others I scanned were all full price....couldnt see any PJs, pants or socks either! Found the blue raincoat with aliens on...got all excited....scanned at £4.50 :(...none of the girls ones there either :( didnt have time to check any toys or anything else!

It's the ones with the beasties not the aliens:o

I'm so jealous of all the whoopsies you lot get, in my store the stuff gets reduced from £5 to £4.75! I never see anything less than half price :(
