hi all, anyone bought any stickered 1/2 price toys today? as a strange thing happened to me in the clay x store today, i bought one of the bakugan toys that are going through at £40, chose a really lovely young girl on the checkout not a trout by any means, placed the bakugan set sticker down as you do, thought not a problem as quite a small sticker and not that visable, anyway when she scanned it she just said £40 is that correct? she then said that a message had appeared on her screen to ask customer is price correct, well not much a could say, so she manually changed the price to £20 so not sure if it is just this store that has done this or if its nationwide0

Trained? never;) Haven't changed my personal opinions on a few things but tread a bit more carefully and apply the maxim "when in Rome etc"
At the risk of getting some negative comments I did feel little sorry for EssexHebridean. I don't think they were trying to wind anyone up and some of the responses did tend to escalate things.
I know I did feel as though I'd stepped on a hornets nest. in the early days and that leads to a natural desire to respond in the same manner. I always try never to respond immediately to anything that irritates me for fear of over-reacting:cool:.
Artha, we might take a bit of getting used to but this thread is the end result of us not being wanted on the other discussion thread so when someone wades in on their high horse, acts like the forum police then gives off because the bargains are hard to find, it gets our backs up. We don't claim to be the sole source of tesc0 bargains but I get the feeling more and more are getting fed up with the other threads so this has kinda become the unofficial Ts thread.
The Misprice thread 12 still has some chat on it but the real action is on hereI know you commented before on something you posted being OOS when you next looked (instrument tuners I think if I'm thinking of the right person). If you found out that the person who took them was someone who lurked on here, contributed nothing, cleared the shelf, stuck the stuff on eBay then came on here and complained the bargains were hard to spot with all the chat, would you not feel a tad annoyed?
I'm not accusing anyone of anything and my example is maybe a bit extreme (but not beyond the realms of possibilty) but this thread is what it is and nowhere on the forum does it say that bargains from Ts should be posted on one thread only. One of the mods in their wisdom decided to merge multiple threads with different bargains so now everything gets lost. I've given up trying to find & follow that thread. Same goes for the 12 thread. The main Grabbit has become a place a rarely venture into and dare I say it, I now check HUKDs as well  At least over there you have consistency and when deals are posted you know to expect the influx of "where's the receipt" comments. On this forum, there is more of a community spirit but I guess some people seem to want things laid out on a plate for them.
And I had a little chuckle to myself the other day at the number of Amazon Black Friday threads that had been moved from Grabbit to Shop but don't Drop. Just looked and at last count 6 threads. Why not just leave the thread alone as although it may not be 'live', the next person coming along will not realise another thread exists in another section of the forums and they post a new thread and so it continues.0 -

If you let someone know about an item in a certain store in a certain place maybe do it by pm? otherwise a lurker will get it first...
(not that I don't want to share but I'm sure you know what I mean...) :A
thanks Czerniacha....i originally posted that I'd got 2,and Angelina said she was going to have a look for them, so was just seeing if she'd got them...I'd not specifically hidden them for her....but will do next time...and will PM instead!!!
I'm still quite new to all this but love sharing my finds and helping others...and i love the community spirity of thsi thread...however I agree with someones post on thread 12....it seems theres a lot of 'newbies' or 'lurkers coming out' lately and I also agree its possible they're store managers being sent to find their glitches!!!
Maybe we should all just keep locations completely secret and those who want to can try their local stores...or those who 'know' each other would have an idea of the location of the store! I know it sounds selfish and maybe unfair, but I dont want to spend hours on here and then in store, only to find that a manager orlurker has cleared all the shelves of glitches!!!!hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -
You can get this weird rubber netting that goes underneath and stops mats and carpets slipping, I've got it under my rugs, will check it out later and see if I can see where it was from:)
What abou that stuff in tesco, inwith keep it handy reduced bits. To stop things slipping on dash board and only 50p. You could get a few for edges or corner?!Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -
I am both intrigued and fascinated by this thread (I can't really absorb it all, lol). A couple of questions (if someone would be so kind as to clarify for me - or point me in right direction), the 'wi-fi' mentioned in above quote - what's it referring to? Also, how are these glitches, incorrect prices, discovered in the first place?...oh, and I haven't noticed my local branch of Te$c0 (see, I am learning, lol) mentioned - so I'm thinking unknown territory, lol.
Thanks all.
In our local and not so local :rotfl:ts, wifi is free. To log in, input your cc number, if you don't have a cc, you will get 15 minutes free. HTH0 -

I'd say "well, I guess so if it's what it scans at..." and then go to the car and come back into store and go to CS... If they question you(I never had the check out SA involved in any dtd and the one who served me last night shouted out "60 quid! what is it?!") you could just say you only noticed the sticker when you were putting your shopping in your car... :cool:0
