ooh thanks, not that creative, was just desperate! If only I could create a lovely cheap massive old venue that could hold all the people I want to invite...

Do you not have any village halls or church halls? School halls?

Yes, looking at them but most of them are a bit grim and modern, found one nice one and waiting to find out if we can get it...

Most places can be made to look beautiful with the right lighting and decorations! Failing that ply your guests with lots of fizz and they wont notice...

  • The first thing I decided on when we got engaged was that I was going to wear Converse under my dress and I was adamant that no one was going to change my mind!

However, I've just bought a vintage dress and I don't think that the length can be altered so I think I'm going to have to find some heels, eeek!

I'm so fussy though, no suede or leather, no peep toes, only mid sized heels and definitely not a stiletto heel as I'd be falling over every 5 seconds! I also want coloured shoes and not white ones.

And I'll be putting the converse on the second that we arrive at the reception!

There are some really gorgeous shoes on these posts, I just wish the prettiest ones weren't so high.
I haven't spotted many fancy wedges or low heels in the shops (but they are mostly selling winter boots etc so maybe I need too wait for the spring...)

I dreamt about wedding shoes last night. I hold my hand up. I am officially a saddo.

  • These were mine, from Poetic Licence (who are linked to Irregular choice)

I didn't want to have the traditional satin / ivory shoes as I wanted something I'd wear again, and I wanted a wedge as it would be more stable.
I got a lot of resistance from my Mum & my sister as they weren't "weddingy" enough, but they were toatally me & I've worn them LOADS since the wedding.

Ohh, fingers crossed for you, a village hall venue would be FAB but sadly there are none suitable round here :(
