    Well, even if the bank eventually take it back, it'll make a small dent in any interest owed to the bank! Could you transfer it into a higher interest account until the bank decide who it belongs to?

    The money is still there, I have just checked. We don't have a high interest account ( funny that, as we have nothing to put in it usually :rotfl: !!) We have a couple of low interest savings accounts, which is , but I'm not sure if we are really allowed to do that, although it did cross my mind I must admit.

    I think I will sit tight and see what Monday brings xx

  • I have fessed up. My guilt wouldn't allow me to enjoy my new found wealth any longer ! 4 hours was enough for me !

    The money could be needed to pay for medical treatment or money an old lady needs to pay for a funeral for her husband. Anything really. Or just good old fashioned wages for someone to live on. Whatever it is for I am sure the person it is meant for really really needs it. I have googled the company that have paid it in but there are many out there with similar names and I am unsure exactly who they are, but I am as certain as I can be that the money is not meant for us.

    I have told the bank, they seemed equally baffled...........and for now the money is still sitting in our account very happily indeed !! xx

    Oh bless you, You really are kind. I would have kept it until it was taken from me :o

    I'm sure that has earned you some good karma Mrs! I hope it wasn't for urgent medical care though :eek:

  • :eek: was the car in that condition when you left it with them?? :eek: I wouldn't be happy with that, surely it's their responsibility to keep it in good nick for when you collect (or if they had sent it to auction!)

    :wave::wave:Hello Mrs PG,

    I've just finished reading your diary from the very start and you leave me speechless with admiration. From the jollity of climbing over gates in jamas to lime green mankinis (tho' those 2 events coinciding would be worth filming...), from reclaiming unfair charges to clients playing silly bu99ers with you, from joyful accounts of your proud mummy moments to hospital visits. There have been times when I could hardly bear to keep reading, I have sniggered at the Tena ladies and loved Grannyx3's pictures, I have cried at how you have been treated. And yet you hold your head up high and you always give more than you can afford (time, energy, food as well as money).

    You are one truly amazing role model and an inspiration.

    Please keep adding to your diary when you can. You will make it to the end of your long and winding journey to debt freedom.

    Well........it wasnt quite that bad and certainly not mouldy thats for sure !
    We knew it had a leak , we werent sure where it was coming from though, but sitting outside in the rain and damp without being started for all these weeks while we fought over the cost hasent helped. Its home now, tipped on its side on makeshift ramps to let the water drip out, covered in tarpaulin with a heater pumping into it in an effort to dry it out !! I dread to think what thats doing to our fuel bill, but one things for sure, my horrible neighbour Mr 3Jags will be knocking on my door soon , as this this time I really am "lowering the tone of the neighbourhood" !!

    Once the car has dried out, Mr PG will investigate how to take the sun roof off, its one of those huge panoramic ones, so should be fun . Hopefully he can fix it and get rid of the thing for scrap or whatever anyone wants it for. I will get the rubber gloves on and get scrubbing inside once its dried out and see if I can improve upon the mouldy look ! :rotfl:
