  • Thanks Mr B, we have just picked up more for later this month and the New Year, so although it will be a bit tight we will be fine .

Things have been crazy, infact I think I look like a crazy lady with mad hair and that wild look in my eyes while I launch from one thing to another !!! Its not a good look !!

I did find time for a glass of PG on Saturday night at the Christmas do ! :D

  • Ok very very quick update

As mentioned in above post, more work has been dribbling in, so thats good.

Downstairs loo and utility painted except for the white paintwork, so they look nice and shiny and smell lovely. I love the smell of paint !

Todays project for Mr PG is tackling the flooded bathroom, new loo seat fitted yesterday so Xmas guests can use it, the ladies only like to use the upstairs toilets apparently ;) Thats all a bit beyond me but ho hum, I will make sure its got lovely fluffy towels in and is smelling lovely. What is that all about ?!
Today he has filled the cracks in the walls and is fitting the bath panel. We just bought the cheapest we could find, but it will look fine. It doesnt need re tiling. We had some wooden flooring in the garage so he will then lay that. We are doing it a bit back to front as although the untiled walls and ceiling need a lick of paint we arent sure if we will have time to finish it before Chrismtas as this is now MR PGs last day off until the big day itself, so he will lay the floor quick sharp today and then if I happen to find a spare minute I will throw the roller over the walls and hey presto !! Thats the plan anyway !:D

Last night we were out at the School Christmas Concert, it was lovely that Mr PG was with us. DD1 has sung in it for the last four years but he has never managed to watch. She sung in Latin ( she had no idea what she was saying ,) but it sounded pretty !! :rotfl:

We also had a new addition to the family last night - "The Princesses handsome Prince came to tea !!" I wasn't expecting him for tea, having never met him before as he is very new on the scene. Mr PG was warned to be nice if he were to meet him !! I fed him curry as I felt it was probably the best of my Culinary Delights , he ate it and is apparently in school today !! :rotfl:Apparently we passed the niceness test with flying colours and then we had the pleasure of meeting his parents at the Concert !! I wasnt expecting that one ! He was actually a lovely Prince who also had the seal of approval from DD2 , that test is a hard one to pass as she is very protective of her big sis !!

Oh yes and DD2 won the Chrismtas Decoration competition we were tearing our hair out over a few weeks ago !! How on earth she won I have no idea, all I can say is that the standard must have been pretty low ! :rotfl: She was moritifed though as they called her surname name out incorrectly in assembly and also thinking she was a boy they had wrapped her prize in blue paper. They clearly thought they had picked a boy and one girl winner, but instead got more than they bargained for when DD2 rocked up claiming the boys prize. As you can tell she has a unisex name !!!

Anyway I must dash.................. oh another £80 paid off of the tax bill today ! :D

How are you all ?? I havent had time to read your diaries sorry x

At least it's winter and most of Mr PG will have shrunk in the chill air, there is a decided risk of a mankini cutting into some essential bits and pieces

Personally, not sure about the lime green, but I will be careful of any men on bikes in lime green when I'm overtaking...

I fear if you were to meet Mr PG in Mankini on country lane it may cause you to lose concentration and potentially end up in a ditch ! Best keep your wits about you in the coming weeks ! :D

  • Wrapped a whole load of pressies last night . Have noticed someone has had a sneaky peek at the ones already under the tree this morning !

Bathroom floor half finished, it looks lovely. Just need to give it a lick of paint now if I get a chance and get the bath panel on. I will use the leftover white paint from the kitchen and paint one wall a pale grey which is leftover from DD1s room a few years ago. Need some cheap towels, so will try and pick those up from A£da later .

Also had a mad clear out of the spare room yesterday and for the first time in a year it is now useable. I actually quite enjoyed the mucking out.:o

I have come to the decision that although its not the done thing, I will not be making homemade desserts at Christmas. Last time I did I spent days and days baking before Christmas, had no time to spend with the girls and if Im honest they werent that great anyway. Although it will probably cost a bit more, I really cant be bothered. DD2 and I will be making a Christmas cake of sorts but I think thats my lot. I have a choice of starter, homemade canapes, sorbet and the turkey dinner. I think a few homemade desserts wont be that bad to serve up. I would much rather spend the couple of days before Christmas with the girls doing nice Christmassy things . We always go to the panto and I havent bought tickets yet this year. The budget is getting low but its one thing I dont want to miss. We have been going every year since the girls were tiny.

I have a big long list today so will crack on now.

Bit more work dribbling in which has put our minds at rest. We will be short for January but I am not going to worry about it.

Budgets gone a bit out of the window this month ....... I am really looking forward to January to get back on track with the finances and debt busting .

Have a good day everyone xx

we have lots of paint so to keep myself busy and frugal while not overdoing it because of my health I will be repainting the skirting boards. I love new paint too! (During the festive period)
