Wowza, you've hit the '20K paid-off' mark!! Well done you!! Who'd have thought that would happen so quickly!

Bum about the invoice. Maybe you could reserve a turkey to collect on 23rd? Or (if you dare) risk NOT reserving one and they might be reduced on 24th? I'm a veggie so please excuse my very limited knowledge of turkey-purchase :D
LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

    Debt Dec 11: Unsecured £69,579 + Mortgage £59,948 = £129,527
Debt May 21: Unsecured ZERO! ZILCH! Mortgage £22,332
  • Grrr, tell them in the season of goodwill this is not acceptable and surely it can't be paid on the 23rd that's a Sunday, are they insane? In this day and age it should not take over 6 working days to pay an invoice that is already overdue.

Sadly its not that easy. Jump up and down too much then they we wont work for them again !!

They have set payment runs, it has just come to light that the person who signs off of the invoice their end didnt put it through to Accounts in time for the last run which was due Monday.

    All will be fine !!!

Hiya Happy, how are you ?!! Lovely to hear from you.

My turkey knowledge is limited too. The last time I brought a proper turkey from a butcher I had to take a friend with me as I had no idea what I was asking for !! think I will jsut do the breast thingy this year which I should pick up easy enough. I only eat one slice anyway as does DD2 as neither of us are big meat eaters !

If all else fails, I will serve them all Pastry Brush Pie and see what reaction I get !

And Yes £20K , Im so happy xxxx

Boo to them :( I hate seeing good people not get their dues. Fingers crossed it's sorted and everything is ok. I'm so pleased to hear you have more days lined up next week, must be a huge relief.

I know little about turkey buying either. I buy a chicken for the meat eaters. Anyone who complains knows what the answer will be! A veggie rules the kitchen...

Unfortunately, a lot of companies have set invoice payment run-off days and there is little way of getting round it, sometimes it's in their T&Cs :(

I hope DD feels better in time for Christmas.

Wow £20k well done Mrs P :) sorry about the turkey though. We're not having turkey this year as we're hosting in our veggie household, my mother has complained so I told her to bring her own hahaha xx
