It must be the time of year. I discovered one of my cats has worms last night. I told the rest of the family this morning as they were eating their breakfast.:rotfl: It was meant as a warning not to let him in the house. You have my sympathy about the exploding cat too. I had one who had the same problem but in the office whilst lying on top of the nice warm computer. The monitor had to go to the tip it was so bad.
Make sure Mr P has washed his hands really well. Our neighbour ended up in hospital with a bad infection after a cat bite, whilst administering a tablet too.
I feel like you too about the debt not going down fast enough. I am impatient and want to be able to change my signature more often than I do at the moment.
Well done on the ebay sales:j:j.I gave up after listings things over and over and them not selling. Maybe I should try again. Although I gave a sack of clothes to the charity shop.
I hope you enjoy your family day. We all get together for dinner on Sundays and it has always been a family day here too.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Thankyou ! I often feel a bit old fogey ish when I mention it !
She didn't go to movies , we walked through the fields, raided the magic drawer and had paninis is and hot chocolates for lunch. We walked home along the river , DD1 took lots of beautiful photos and it was perfect except Mr P was missing.
DD2 did pop up to the stables where her friends horse is kept for a couple of hours and has just got back.

Well I am writing ths having had a lovely day, probably the nicest day over a weekend for a long time if I am honest...........but it feels like its all come crashing down around my ears.
As usual it's down to money, or lack of it.
DD2 as many of you know is horse mad. We have had to cut lessons to two a month and then because of my back she has only made it to the stables for a lesson or to help once since June.we have struggled to pay for the two lessons , that's anther reason she hasn't gone and she needs a new riding hat and body protector which are fortunes. This I feel terrible about already.
So today her lovely friend who owns a horse called to ask if she would like to ride and groom at her stables for an hour this afternoon. Despite it being Sunday I agreed, I could see how much she wanted to go.
She has just returned, I opened the door to her, her friend and friends mum. All very excited as they had come up with a plan . The plan consists of DD2 going to the stables every Tuesday and Friday evenings through the winter t o show her commitment and responsibility with a view that when she is 12 early next year that she will then be allowed to loan a horse.i need to take her twice a week as other mum doesn't drive. They are aware they said that buying a horse is out of the question, but loaning is cheap they say. Not cheap enough I say. Three eager faces all looking at me expectantly , willing me to be excited as they are and confirm that it's a done deal. Loan a horse it is early next march.
How I wish I could give her the world, ten horses if she wanted them. She never asks me for anything, hasn't complained once about me not getting her to the stabes for most of the year. It's not just the money, it's the time. She has school work, other hobbies, I am on my own for the majority of the time juggling who needs to be where when , struggling to keep on top of the house, running the business. It feels like a huge added pressure that I don't want and can't afford.am I being selfish ?
I sat her down and tried to explain, her face fell. She looked so sad. She said we told her she could loan when she was 12, I don't remember saying that. I explained that's its still costly and I don't have the time to go with her to the stables at least twice a week or that kind of money at the moment. I explained how hard daddy is working to ay the bills that she has other animals we need to feed and look after.
I would love so much to be able to do this for her. None of this is her fault. It's not her fault her daddy is always at work , he can't work any longer hours to pay for a horse. He can't be here to help me with the running around or or to spend time at the stables with her.
Just feel so deflated and awful. She has just asked me whats wrong and I feel like crying. I think she knows her asking about the horse has worried me. I in turn don't want to worry her.
Oh what a bl00dy mess xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

First thing, you aren't a bad mum. Your children do lots of activities, which they enjoy and you fully support them, by financing, chauffeuring etc. My DDs and I want a horse, sadly its still not going to happen.
This is one of lifes lessons. I can't afford to give them riding lessons, occasionally they go on a friends pony. Basically what I'm trying to say badly, is that it is the pits saying no and you will probably have a sleepless night worrying over it but you need to get your budget on an even keel. There will still be horses when she's 16 or 17.
Have some hugs and I hope I've made some sort of random sense.

Hello Mrs PG. I hope you're feeling better today.
I had a fab weekend, Friday night was lots of fun, including bumping into a friend of my OHs who he hadn't seen in 8 years. He was sat literally 6 seats away from us. We were very MSE and told a little white lie to the car park people to get the parking for £3 instead of £6 (told them we were going for food and not going to the MEN).
I managed to sneak my camera in too so have photos up http://www.flickr.com/photos/fallen_wiccan/sets/72157631773807535/
I avoided buying anything from the merch stand, £10 for a programme and £25 for a tshirt is a bit much honestly.
Saturday night was great fun. I didn't get a photo of me before I got there unfortunately, the taxi driver was late and stressed me outWhen we finally got there (just as everyone was sitting down for speeches and then food) we had a great time.
Here's a picture of me and my friends. Hope it works.
Now back to reality. Odd day today and then I have a three day training course. So I'm just trying to revise some stats stuff before I go into it.HSBC CC - £3000 / £3000

Aww Mrs P, have a dodgy hug from me :grouphug:
You are a fabulous mum, the DD's are lucky to have you. It just isnt practical to have a horse for time or money, as Lucielle says the DD's dont do bad in terms of other activities so you really mustnt feel guilty.
I hope you are feeling better today and the cat hasnt come up with yet more surprises today!
