So....it appears that to date, the blasted back procedure has yet to show any signs of improvment although apparently I am standing straighter according to Mr Pinot but the pain is pretty crazy !!
I did though, receive the appointment in the post today from the Specialist for 1st August. I am unsure if that is due to the Consultant from Fri who was trying to push things through or due to the Doctors intervention but nontheless I have an appointment at last. I am still taking drugs , but am unable to sleep with the stupid pain again , but am hoping it is the calm before the storm | ( actually I dont think I mean that the storm before the calm , if there is such a saying ) that the nerves they have messed around with will calm down and all will fall nicely into place in the next few days and the pain will ease off. I think I should have rested more at the weekend, but spent it doing everything I usually would, cleaning , ironing cooking etc only slower, mainly due to Mr Pinot working but also due to my being a terrible patient !! Perhaps this serves me right.:o
Have been reading over on Alices Board about her OH being onboard now and having his LBM of which I am really pleased. I am wondering if there are any top tips for getting teenagers on board ? I think mine is understanding, but then she seems to go and do the most stupid things. ie draw all over a t shirt, belonging to me, perfectly acceptable and wearable with birthday mesages to give to her friend to wear for Sports Day yesterday depsite me having already 1. bought lovely present for said child 2. providing money for birthday drinks, the meal was paid by her parents 3. Actually quite liking the plain white Top Shop t shirt, and refusing to allow her to write all over it the night before as there is nothing wrong with it. Her argument being that I gave the t shirt to her, its old and she doenst wear it. My argument being, I bought and paid for it and loaned it to her last year as it was a little tight on me,but being a plain white nice Top Shop T Shirt and me having lost over a stone in weight of late due to poorlyness I would have been happy to wear it again, as I rarely by things for myself. So there I am frantically ebaying clothes and she is ruining perfectably acceptable clothing . Despite this the darling child took it upon herelf to do as she wished and presented it to the friend yesterday morning.:mad: Angry was not the word for me yesterday, therefore my need to ask you all to post all things fluffy and lovely, with your lottery plans etc cheered me up and calmed me down no end !!!! I wrote a list of all spends on her so far this month up to and incuding the 9th July, stapled that to the all spends in the month of June and I am now keeping a running total for her. Mr Pinot came home from work on the war path where they sat and spoke for over an hour last night. I handed the reigns to him on this one having stressed myself out all day long on that particular topic !!! She knows she has done wrong, and also knows that she could have done more to help at the weekend, apology though ,I am still waiting for !! 14 year olds eh ? Ithink I must have been abnormal I was as good as gold other than the odd bit of back chat !!
So what does this week bring ? Well busy day yesterday albeit I am doing everything on go slow. Had a lovely friend pop in for a visit for a few hours unexpectadly which was great. Managed to get a little work done, but the bare minimum due to being unable to sit for long to work. I listed more items on ebay, wrapped a few and sold a few more so I am happy with how thats progressing at the moment. Slow but steady ! Still jsut the childrens clothes, dance wear etc but its going, nto for much but better than nothing at all as in the past when it was given away !
Today I have meetings and appointments all day. DD1 singing at an Arts Review at the school tonight 6-8pm and yesterday I was informed that DD2 has rehearsals for her school play 6-8 tomorrow also . Typically not in the same places !! Having looked at the dairy this is pretty much what I have going on every evening for the next fortnight. Mr Pinot leaving for work at 5am, due to finish 8pm, but was asked yesterday to work late this evening, so I am unsure when we will see him eventually. Oh and my lovely niece returns from honeymoon today, I was hoping to help my sister give the house a clean for their arrival but I may not be in a fit state for that one, but I will drive over and leave some flowers for them and I have also acquired some Just Married toilet roll I will pop in the bathroom as a welcome Home Gift !!
Oh and DD2 has a new dressing table for her room !! I am thrilled ! She has a little desk already, but is using the inside of her wardrobe as a dressing table and I was hoping to jazz her room up a little before she goes to secondary school in september. We are going to ship out the toys, jazz it up with some cheap and funky picture frames, add a dressing table and away she goes. Her room is large and painted white ( she could do with new carpet but that wont be happening as yet) The blinds are only about 18 months old, as is the bed frame and mattress, so its a case of a quick fix and away she goes. We bid on ebay for the dressing table, but wont tell her and will get it all set up when Mr Pinot has time to collect it and surprise her !! She will be over the moon !
Right, I am off for a spot of early mornng skim reading, I can feeltablets makign me a little drowsy now so I may attempt going back to bed soon.
Hope you are all sleeping soundly xxxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Teenagers don't always think, that's all. DD didn't mean any harm just doing what teenagers do, I'm afraid. Compared to so many, you've got it really easy, some teenagers are complete nightmares and not just on the wasting money/clothes front. Count your blessings, dearest one, you've got a gem of a daughter there....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Thankyou Piq, and you are right, she really is great, but just a bit daft at times. Everywhere we go people tell us how lovely she is and we are both so proud of her. Think her timing just stunk a bit to be honest ! I was feeling rubbish, worrying about Mr Pinots working hours as you all know and as usual payment of our invoices have slowed right down again, so I felt like she was wasting our money. Everything is also so much worse when you are tired isnt it ?!!

I agree it is just her age, you are definitely lucky if that is all you have to worry about, i've heard a few horror stories about kids round here (via fb statuses of course
lol) and it makes me thankful for my ds1 not being that bad too!

Oh kids are potty. Myself and DD2 walked to the shop the other day, just the local co op for some bread. Its a 6 minute walk and she wanted some lucozade sport for the walk back! Madness! She will learn the value of money they just dont think do they? In retrospect, she chose to walk to the shop with me, rather than do some moody teenage angst thing so "cashback!" I suppose. I do look tight as a Ducks when I am saying no to everything though.
If I won the lottery I would be like you and keep it stum. I would just have been "massively successful at work" and try and do good with it while helping out family and friends. It would be lovely. Dont forget the rescue donkeys. I would get donkeys from poor countries. The ones with the really bent backs (donkeys not countries) and give them a wonderful life of pampering. Also I would get some cows with long eyelashes.Just for me to look at. xTrying to shift that debt!0 -
SBO and DFW , I think I feel a bit fed up ,as I am sure all she ever hears me say is consider the money over and over and over again. I sometimes wonder if she is sick to death of me harping on about money and how lucky they both are and how she needs to be more considerate. Maybe I am turning into a grumpy old bag !!!! I am horrified as well thoguh that many of her friends are given £200 to take to the shop s on a Saturday afternoon to spend on whatever they like jsut ofr the hell of it. Idont think I would do that regardless of the situation as surely they learn nothing from being that spoilt ?! I sound more like my mum every day !!! :rotfl::eek:
Anyway, cancelled couple of apps today re work, wasnt feeling up to it, pain made me a tad poorly, apparently the nerves in my back are dying so whilst they are doing their dying thing the pain may get worse. I have had this done before, but never felt as bad but then as the Consultant said my back wasnt as bad previously as it is now. Hopefully when the Damn Nerves hurry up and decide to Pop Their CLogs the pain will ease a little. In the meantime I really cant face this work meeting and being happy and jolly, so I am off to deliver the Just Married Loo Roll to its new home instead xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
