Oh and Grannyx2, if you ever make it from 25th January to this point , I raise a toast to you !!!

 A beer back to you too as you can see I finally made it and entertaining reading it was too.

So far I've read about locking yourself out of house and scaling rather large walls, only for OH to do the same later that day

feeding family with mouldy bread and OOD pineapples

    hedgehogs and cushions

ninja style stealing off dirty old men whilst lap dancing and wearing holey knickers and crocheted clothes

    and much more besides.

Oh and I solved the riddle of the butter with the !!!!! because of a mistype, it was probably because the t's got replaced with g's and all in the same chats as spotted richard puddings. So not really surprising the word was edited out. :rotfl:

Anyway, I'm here now to stay for a bit, instead of just lurking in the background. May even start my own diary today as I had a pretty lengthy stupid conversation with the DCA for my MBNA card, that I really need to get off my chest

Hope you had a fantastic time at the hen do and that your back is feeling better. I have a bad back for pretty much the same reason and its so wearing when its playing up.

Bye for now, sorry about the long post but it is my first on your diary :o

  • Mrs PG! Hope you had a great time in London yesterday! I'm not ashamed to admit that I have experimented with the odd bit of fake tan in the past - and my top tip is to wash your hands with toothpaste after applying to scrub it off. Works every time.

Sorry to hear your back has been playing up again. I twinged mine at the gym the other week and couldn't believe how debilitating it was. You definitely have my sympathies!

Yet more car trouble??? Hmm, I'm not sure about a ticking noise. Does it tick faster/louder when you rev the engine? I often find that googling the car make/name and the symptom gives me the best results.

Anyway, looking forward to checking out the full hen do update later!

Well Mr Dec, the toothpaste is a top tip which I had never heard of before. Its a pity I didnt know about it prior to Saturday, I'm very disappointed in you ! :p

The ticking noise has stopped on the car , for now at least. Maybe my car is coming out in sympathy as it knows tomorrow morning Mr Pinots car is off for break pads, discs, new windscreen, major service and air con  Air con was a muck up by the garage last Summer so we have been without it since so I am hoping they will be sorting that free of charge. Mr Pinot intended fitting break pads and discs himself this weekend, but they didnt arrive in time despite spending extra for next day delivery ( Fri), they then arrrived Saturday, we werent home and it was re arranged for today, needless to say they havent arived. I called at 4pm and they confirmed they would be with me by 7pm latest. Well they arent here yet ! So, the plan for the garage to fit them instead as Mr Pinot wont now have time to do it appears to be going wrong also. Its so infuriating !

Ok, be ready for a Rant !!!

Had a terrible night with the back and realised I was down to the last tablet ( of the stingy 10 that they keep giving me) . I needed to take the last one this morning, called the docs for a repeat prescription to be told they werent on repeat ( despite giving them to me last week on repeat ) , so I needed to go to the surgery , fill in a form and beg for more. Off to trundled to the surgery , to be told that I couldnt fill in a form I had to see a doctor but my doctor was on holiday. I asked to see the Nurse Pracitioner who knows my situation and saw me the other week when I was in meltdown but was told although she can issue prescirptions, shes not allowed to issue one for the tablets I need . They then asked me to go back again at 4.30 to see a Locum. Locum who obviously has never met me refused to give me anymore the tablets. This is the muscle relaxant. I only take it at bedtime so the muscles relax enough to allow me about 2/3 hours sleep, despite the box saying I can take as and when. I dont, just once a day. When they wear off in the night I dont take anymore so felt I was taking them responsibly. He has told me that having taken them for 20 days I am at risk of becoming addicted to them (boxes are in a pack of 26 and even pharmacist asked why I wasnt being given more). He said there was room for me to increase the rest of my medication to compensate even thought they do a different job and I wasnt bad enough for anything else. I explained by increasing the other medication I had been really ill and sick but he didnt want to know. Also as I have a hospital app on Fri he says there is no need as I am now in the system so it appeared he was passign the buck until Friday ! . Im dreading tonight, its evenings, night and mornings that are the worst. Daytime isnt too bad as long as I keep moving.

So, I come home from the Docs fuming, to a freezing cold house, go to put the heating on and the boiler wont fire up . Normal trick when this happens is to stick it on Emergency heating and hot water for about an hour then quickly switch it back to normal mode and it continues to then work as normal. That wont work tonight. The Emergency has now also decided to give up the ghost so we have no heat or hot water. Have washed up by boiling the kettle as I obviously have no dishwasher still. DD2 jumped in the shower not realising and the poor thingy nearly froze to death. DD1 hasnt dared attempt it yet.;)

Finally............ as mentioned in previous post, Mr Pinots car parts due to arrive Fri and then promised again today . Confirmed at 4pm they would be here by 7. Well they werent. I called at 7.30pm to be told they had been taken off of the van but they had no idea why, so would I like to arrange yet another day for delivery, or if I really faniced I could drive an hour and a half down the road and collect them from the depot in the morning !! I asked her to confirm first drop delivery at 7am in time for me to get the car to the garage by 8am, but nope they wouldnt do that either. After more toing and froing she finally agreed at my insistance to pass to a supervisor, who has just called me back. Again he has no idea what has happened and we have now agreed for them to be delivered directly to the garage, but obviously now they have to fit them, it will cost us more money than intended. I am livid .They still wont confirm early delivery but will do their best. I have asked for it to be lodged as an official complaint and that I want feedback as to what exactly has gone on, but its apparently an internal complaint until they receive something from me in writing. Blah blah blah ! To top it off the guy who called tonight wont be in tomorrow to follow up the complaint and ensure that we do actually receive the delivery !

Mr Pinot has just called to say that he has had a nightmare of a day as well. He has just arrived at his hotel, not in t e best of moods either.....so that makes two of us then !!

Other than that, the day has been mixed, bid for a beautfiul Top Shop Prom Dress on ebay for DD1 for a do she is going to on Saturday ( but its a secret , the do not the dress, I told her about that as I was excited ) We saw it recently for £60 in the store and I have jsut paid £8.50 for it. Just hope it fits ok.

Three more items sold yesterday on ebay, four more end tomorrow and listed seven more that started this evening, so that should keep the ebay coffers filling up hopefully.

HMRC letter arrived today confirming that they have cancelled the Penalty for not filing a Partnership tax return as per my appeal so that was good news.

Spoke with Solciitor to confirm that Company not paying us hadnt responded to letter ,so have been advised to email then and give them until Thursday of this week and advise them that after Thursday it will be in the hands of a solicitor and she will send off a LBA on Friday to them.

DD2 had first of her SATS papers today, seemed to go well :D

And finally, I received a date for another MRI scan for the end of May. I am amazed but my Doctor obviously managed to push for an emergency scan after Mr Pinot told him off just a little bit the other week. Yey so thats some good news, I wasnt expecting that appointment until at least July ! Oh, but the bad news is its slap bang in the middle of the couple of days Mr Pinot was taking off at the end of the month so we could go camping before he departs for foreign climes in June !

And thats my day !!! I hope everyone here has had a much better day than me !! :rotfl:

Piq you well and truly win in the Sh*tty day stakes yesterday. I nearly deleted my post as it was nothing in comparison !!

Well......... we still have no heating and no hot water this morning. Oh and no boiler cover. Mr Pinot had better hot foot it back home sharpish tonight to take a sneaky peak, he managed to fix it before with his own fair hands and a bit of souldering here and there I believe. With the car bills today the last thing I need is a bill from the Boiler Man to add to the list !!

Well we have all got up late again , seems to be a family trait at the moment so best I get going and get the troops into action ! xxx

    Have a good day everyone ! x :D
