    Great update.

I love the sound of your Mexican night. So great to have friends over.

I'm also really pleased you managed to get some sensible advice at the gym about gradually strengthening your back. I think physics are worth their weight in gold!

Great going will the eBay selling, too.

    Tx

It was great fun !! Lovely to catch up with friends, its a rarity these days, so it felt like some normality in our mad world !!

Ok well today I havent done much so far, just faffed around, so I am quite angry with myself really.

Answered a few emails for work, turned down some work  on days we are already booked up and accepted a bit more.

Mr Pinot advised that his brake discs are down to the bare metal on his car this morning. He has priced new ones up online and I think we are looking at just under £300 :eek:He said he has found a code for 30% off and I have just discovered if we use TopCashback we should get an addiitonanl 5.05% so it makes it a little more bearable. He isnt around to fit them himself which he would usually do , so he has booked the car into the garage for next week. He has to go away which means he will take my car, leaving me get his to the garage , the only trouble is its manual and I cant drive a manual with my back !! Hmmm that should be a fun couple of days then !! :rotfl:

Also I have just found out that myself and DD2 were the hot topic of conversation at the school gates last night with regards to which secondary school she is going to. It makes me hopping mad that it is thought ok to discuss my business and my childs education amongst themselves and in front of her school friends without any regard as to whether what they are saying is actually correct or not ! I am so mad today I cant explain ! A part of me wants to ring them all and set the record straight and the other half feels like just saying sod the lot of you and carry on with your silly little gossipy lives, I have far more important stuff to consider !! Like have I written enough drivel on my diary today for instance !!!

Other than that, I have made the beds, packed dancing bags, DD1 singing in a pub tonight () , so we will be off to watch her. I'm not sure if mr Pinot will make it home in time, but I reall yhope he does .

DD2 suffering from a nasty cold and thats my day so far .:mad:

Really best I get off on here and go and do some work now xxx Byeexx

Pinot, I have blown all my saved up rainforest vouchers that I earnt from surveys and TCB and bought myself a tumble roller for £60 (I had £59 in vouchers). Apparently it does the same as a sports massage. It is supposed to arrive tomorrow, so I shall start to use it straight away to sort my own exceedingly tight back muscles out and report back as to whether it works or not. Little bit sad as that was 1/3 of my breadmaker saved, but I can't afford to spend £60 on one single transaction and I can't afford to not be able to move my neck anymore.

I wouldn't worry about the gossips, they obviously have nothing better to do. To be perfectly honest, not sure if it's quite the same, but everyone in my school was encouraged to go to Oxbridge after school, I went to Bournemouth and have ended up in one of the biggest software houses in the world.... so at the end of the day I don't think it matters all that much which school you go to as your girls seem pretty driven to succeed, they'll do well wherever they go :)

I agree, was told to go to private school for sixth form (went to local college) then was told to apply to Oxbridge for uni (ended up at a local old Polytech) and now I work for one of the worlds largest household chemicals and consumer goods companies. We all get where we're supposed to be :)

Kerri and Fallenwiccan ( good to see you again by the way !) I totally agree with everythign you have both said.

I'm happy with where she is going, its where her sister is currently at. Its just irritated me that people had nothing better to do than make assumptions that I was appealing for a place at a grammar school which she wasnt originally offered a place at, and it has been bandied aroudn the school that I am doing so, yet nobody has actually had that conversation with me or asked the question !!! I'm happy with the whole situation, as she is, but what drove me mad was they had nothing better to do than discuss the whys and where fores of what my child was doing. I'm probably not making sense without really telling the whole whole story but I cant really do that on here I'm afraid. I hate nosey , gossipy people, drives me bonkers !!! You may have gathered that !!!

I totally agree, if you are driven to succeed you will. You have both obviously done very well.

Kerri so sorry to hear the neck is still so bad as is your back. Do you have a gym ball you could use, its a great help for tight muscles. You dont need to do sit ups on it, just stretch. I cant use mine at the moment as its a different problem but it might help a little. The tumble roller sounds a good investment , I have used similar before with good results. The breadmaker can wait, you can always knead the bread the old fashioned way ! :rotfl:

Anyway must dash, still not caught upon diaries. Off to take DD1 to the pub in an hour to sing !!!
