Ah Pinot...you are certainly going through the mill at the moment. Sod the IR...what a bunch of time wasters. I echo what everyone else says about your lovely family. What kind people they are and how they wanted to reward you for everything that you do for them.
    Happy belated birthday.

Hope your back improves with these new painkillers. When do you go back to the consultant?

Have been away for a wee break. It was lovely but its now back to reality.

    take care
    E

    Thankyou EQueen,

Did you have a lovely time ? I rmember you saying that you were going away.

Sunshine definitely feels like the order of the day at the moment. Perched on a sunbed, cocktail in hand.......... how lovely that would be instead of this miserable old weather we have at the moment !!

The Doctor says he will call again in a week, I cant get an appointment to see him for two weeks at least, hospital is at the end of May although it isnt with my Consultant, he cant see me until June.

It is feeling better today thankyou, new painkillers are kicking in ! Whoopee !! :j

Very boring post today as nothing much to report really !

I have finished the appeal letter to HMRC, was very tempting to include an Invoice, but I havent as yet.....if they mess me about I may well still send one though !

Managed to do a bit of Hoovering , and some washing.

Got lots of work done, its been really busy today, things still looking good. It looks like Mr Pinot may be able to take a couple of days off at the end of May before he goes away for 6 weeks, so I am hoping we can get a bit of camping in, the only trouble is the girls wont be on school holidays. He leaves the day they break up ! DD2 will have finished her exams and I will need to take them out of school for 3 days, but I'm not sure what to do yet. We need a break as we barely see each other, and the girls need to spend some more time with him, but I dont like taking them out of school. Need to have a big think on that one

Dinner tonight is last nights leftover Jamies Fish Pie. I think I thought I was feeding the whole street when I made it yesterday , so I dont need to think about dinner which is good and leaves me free to make some cakes with DD2 when she gets home if she doesnt have too much homework . I would much rather do that than rustle up a boring old dinner !

  • Sounds lovely!

Fish pie isnt a bad deal at all. And cakes always go down well.

    Im quite peckish now.
Am glad the painkillers are kicking in. You can feel more human again!

Its freezing cold, that sunbed sounds very appealing!

  • Honestly, its baltic up here. I have a coal fire and I put the fan heater on for ten minutes as I dont have much coal til friday and then put extra jumpers on me and the little un.

Ill be lighting the fire soon and it will be right up the back of the chimney!
Just a couple of weeks ago, I was sitting out in shorts.

I've just popped the heating on :o I was actually shivering and I'm wearing several layers.

I don't think Jamie's fish pie is a boring old dinner, very nice if you ask me.

Hope you feel better soon, keep warm.

Sounds perfect, infact we have done that before and lit fires in the garden in the evening !

One year when it was half term and cold , rainy and windy we put the tent up in the bedroom and we all camped int here for a few nights !

DD2 has just come home and told me of at least 3 children in her class being taken out of school for a holiday depsite the SATs looming . I'm assuming they arent telling the school and pretending the children are ill as I'm sure the school wouldnt allow it .

Thankyou Piq, hope you warm up too !

Actually I really like Jamies Fish Pie, I just think that everyone will find it boring for the 2nd night on the trot ! But we have just made chocolate chip fairy cakes and Lemon Drizzle Fairy Cakes that are yummy so hopefully it will make up for the dinner !

    Hello Mrs P et al

You are definitely right about the cold, and with the rain its all very glum.:o

Glad to hear the back is a bit better, well done on the cake baking.:T (Dont forget to save me some :D)

To be honest I have been so tired the past few days its all I can do just to get dinner cooked.:p

Tomorrow my last day for this week so will chill a bit for the weekend I think.:D

Hope you manage to get something sorted on the camping front. I did read that the government are thinking of penalising parents who take their children out of school more than they do at the moment.
To be honest I know a lot of parents attitudes is that even with a fine they still save more on taking the kids out than going away in the main holidays.

My own view (and I know some will disagree) is that if it is only a day or two and means you have some quality family time, then so be it.The final decision must be yours xx

Right as I have been away from diary land I am going for a catch up, OH is busy watching the footie so it leaves me in peace and quiet on the pc.

    Take care catch up soon
