Ok beware, this will be a long one !!

Birthday was lovely thankyou ! I was very spoilt !

MRS F the photo I was thinking of posting was of the cake the girls had made me, far more fetching than me in my PJ's and Flip Flops I can assure you !:rotfl:

DFW - I think you are right, I saw something about Photobucket, but it also said you needed Facebook which I dont have, so I have given up on my photo posting plan as it all looks far too involved. Mrs F do you post your piccies via Photobucket ?

Lucielle - I would happily swap PPI writing tips. I have a similar problem as you, an old Egg card which I am sure had PPI but all evidence of the Account was shredded years ago , and I believe Egg is now with Barclays. An SAR letter with £10 might be the way to go to get the Account number, but in my experience of SAR's recently they seem to only send what they want you to see !!

Back to my birthday ! Mr Pinot drove home overnight to be there for my birthday morning :heartsmil They spoilt me rotten, but I must confess to being a bit of a pain :o.

The Girls made me a beautiful card, in the form of a Comic Strip of photos of us all doing very silly things with slogans underneath that they had made up, I wish I could post it for you all to see, it was the funniest thing ever. It needs to be framed and put on the wall. They also wrote a lovely message on the back that true to form made me cry !

They then informed me we were going out to lunch ( this is where I became the biggest pain in the butt ever !) The Lunch thing sent me into panic. What would I wear ? ( black jeans and black top again, still languishing in the ironing) Had they invited my parents? ( of which the answer was no) this panicked me even more as I knew they would be upset if they werent asked and as much as they had apparently pretended it was fine when they were told they couldnt come and see me until later in the day, I knew that they werent telling the truth ! So I then panicked about being home in time and them being upset and that I had nothing to give them or anyone else arriving for tea and bascially became a bear with a sore head. I then panicked about paying for lunch. To top it off Mr Pinot then told me where we were going and it was a place that we had been to only once, but the Company wasn't great and I didnt like the pub or the service ! He then began to get annoyed with us girls as we werent ready on time and then piled everyone in the car. I ran out of the door half ready, couldnt find my lipstick , hair half done ,to find the engine was running in his car and the girls sitting in the back and not in my car. To explain, I have alot of back problems which have flared up of late. I am taking a cocktail of drugs, and cant sleep, cant sit down or stand up very easily, making me a tad grumpy and emotional to say the least ! Mr Pinots car is low down , whereas mine is the 4 wheel meaning I can get in and out of it easier. I squished myself into his car, had tears pouring down my face from the pain, got myself out of the car and cried in the car park as the pain was excrutiating getting out of the car. Composed myself , walked into the pub with a bit of a face on, to be "Surprised" to find a table full of my family and friends to wish me a Surprise Happy Birthday Meal ( including my parents , they had been invited after all!) This then set me off into even more of a panic, as the usual turn of events would have been for us to pay the entire bill for everybody, so I didnt enjoy the meal, not knowing the arrangments, panicking about what everyone was eating and drinking and how we were going to pay ! It transpires that when Mr Pinot had organised it he had told everybody they had to pay for themselves if they wanted to come but we would cover the cost of the wine ! But of course , I didnt know this at the time !!

Mr Pinot......if you ever read this, me and surprises dont mix !! As lovely a thought as it was, please give me advance notice next time to stop my mind going into overdrive !!

Everyone came back to ours, I was calmer by then , and we had a drink and my amazing chocolate cake as made by DD2, I think DD1 was meant to be the Asssitant but she kept wandering off I understand and she was the main contributer to the card instead !

So that was my birthday, another year older, ( not so wrinkly thanks to the Aldi Cream though :D )

So...........yesterday DD2 went back to school, the new socks we had brought her in the holidays didnt fit so she went off to school in trainer socks, only to be told off by the headmistress who told her to tell me to get out and get her some proper socks. She explained that her Daddy had gone away and that I couldnt drive due to my back and was told to tell me to get it sorted. DD2 was very irritated by this, but I ordered some online when she got home to keep the peace and they have just arrived ! I am so looking forward to her leaving that school now with their silly rules !

Yesterday evening, about 9pm,the phone rung and it was my Doctor who had been called by Mr Pinot ( unbeknown to me) as he had been concerned by how bad I had been with my back whilst he had been away and that the tablets werent working. I have another month to wait until my next hospital appointment and I got a big telling off from the doctor for not going back and getting stronger painkillers and just "Being brave" as he put it. I have suffered with this for 7 years now, but I dont think you can ever get used to it. He has increased my prescription and is giving me a different mix of meds , I just need to try and get myself down to the doctors to collect the prescriptions as Mr Pinot will be home after they close.

So thats my news for the past few days ! Are you still with me, or have you sloped off in to a dark shadowy corner to hide !! :D

Today I am trying to work, but I'm not making a great job of it ! Bit distracted for some reason. The 3 month Contract that we signed earlier in the year finishes at the end of April, but they want to extend on an Ad Hoc basis which fits in well with other work we have. So thats great news ! Last night we secured a 6 week job abroad with a new client beginning end of May, early June , we are waiting on dates to be confirmed. I have today managed to fill a few spare dates that we still had free for May, so all is going well on that front. A bit more consistency on the payment front and all would be perfect ( ish !!)

The Inland Revenue fined us for not filing a 2010/11 tax return for the partnership, I think I may have mentioned that last week. I have finally managed to get through to them after receiving another letter stating they will fine us up to £1600 if we dont pay the £100, and that they are within their rights to decide for themselves how much tax we owe and pass the bill onto a debt collection agency ! ( Ooh I wonder which one that will be, to add to my collection !) The thing is the Company was wound up in March 2010 and all tax has been paid and we didnt need to file a return for 2010/11. After an hour long conversation in which they told me it is actually on their notes that they had issued the demand in error, and quoted me all of the notes on their files confirming as such, they wont waive the £100 penalty. Apparently I have to appeal in writing for this to be waived even though they have notes on file to say it was sent to us in error ! Is this me, or is this a total waste of time ? I have a good mind to bill them for my hours spent on the phone and the time we will spend going through the appeal process ! Do you think they would cough up ?!! :rotfl:

Anyway this is my humungously long post for today. I am off to to attempt to get in the car and get to the docs and collect my new pills to pop. Best I lay off the Pinot for a few days then and stick to the Lime and Soda ! :(

Hope you are all well, I'm looking forward to catching up with you all over on your diaries xx

    OOhh I'm back again !! Sorry !

I forgot to say thanks for the top tips on unblockng drains !! I will remember them all !!

Mine was actually a blocked valve rather than a drain ! Delvo Valve or something like that that stops the water from draining away when the toilet is flushed if the valve doesnt work properly, or something like that anyway ! But fingers crossed 4 days later, all loos are flushing with nothing nasty appearing in the showers when the loos are flushed !! :D

    Byeee I'm going again now ! x

What a shame that you ended up stressing for the evening when you didn't need to.

The rest of the birthday sounds wonderful. You obviously have a family who love you very much, deservedly so too.

    Hope your more relaxed now.

Thankyou everyone, and I'm sure the back thing will ease up soon. I now have all of the new pills and will be rattling. Dying for a glass of the Cold Stuff, but I'm not allowed ! :(

You are all so right about my birthday, it is a control thing, and also I am so obsessed with the money and the budgets it was all a bit too much to deal with. Silly really, but I sispect many of us are the same !

I have a wonderful family , and I know how very lucky I am and I shouldnt have got stressed out by it all !

I wont be posting this evening or reading through the diaries, sorry. I know from skim reading that some of you are struggling and I feel bad that I havent posted. I'm sorry I will try and catch up in the next few days.

Piq, just a quick message via my diary, I am thoroughly enjoying reading your blog that pops up on my phone each time you post. Keep up the Good Work !

    Catch up soon xx :D

Ah Pinot...you are certainly going through the mill at the moment. Sod the IR...what a bunch of time wasters. I echo what everyone else says about your lovely family. What kind people they are and how they wanted to reward you for everything that you do for them.
    Happy belated birthday.

Hope your back improves with these new painkillers. When do you go back to the consultant?

Have been away for a wee break. It was lovely but its now back to reality.

    take care
