Nearly fell for it myself today, very, very convincing. Agreement was to pay on delivery then suddenly pay first - no way!
Exact same email as everyone else.
"Booked it for Wednesday am, 9-10am. Great, I've just finished filling out the forms online and Parcel Force will handle payment as well, you'll need cash. You should receive email notifications on how to proceed. Get back to me if you don't receive them and if you have any queries, glad to help.
Jennie.
P.S. If not in your inbox check your junk or spam folder also."0 -
Hi, i recently found a 1960's small frame Vespa on Gumtree for £280. (These normally go for around £1000!) I got in contact and had exactly the same email! I realized tonight that it could be a scam and googled it, leading me here! I got lucky, yet so many haven't! I'm always wary when shopping online, however...i found the email address was ok, the emails were in perfect english, she even had pictures of her with people on her email account! (Also noticed she didn't have a facebook...and yet did have an email?) It was only when i got asked to take a picture of the voucher that i remembered a simler incident at work in a newsagents when someone rang up claiming to be UKASH IT team and asked for a serial number off a £150 voucher...which they also cashed that same day! Being a huge classic scooter fan, i find it extremely sad that other people like myself could fall for this same scam! The details being used for my scam are stated below. Hope we can nail these idiots soon!
Jennifer Bright,

The scooter is a 1960s Vespa 90cc, white frame with blue panels & center! Please feel free to message me for a picture if your not sure!0 -
I've also emailed her back asking to pick my scooter up....lets see if she can produce a rare scooter as quick as she can take our money!0

Had an email exchange with "Jennifer Bright" over a BURR BUR WALNUT DRESSING TABLE / DESK. BOW FRONT. CIRCA 1939 for £50 in the West Midlands - Birmingham. Can't put the link in unfortunately.
An absolute bargain - too good to be true!
I thought the whole set up was a bit weird and something just didn't feel right so googled her name which led me here! Fortunately I haven't parted with my money! Here is the email exchange I had with her.
First email
"Hi ****,
Don't know if it's been long since you've emailed, I've been out so couldn't follow up on my text message. Can't promise anything but visiting my mum shortly, wouldn't mind making a drop off.
If you'll send me your postcode I can check out on my satnav the distance to yours.
Reasonable price and accurate description, it's worth the money, no bad surprises. I won't go any lower.
Can be reached on 07973-425-052 low signal strength areabut check emails regularly.
Ta,
Jennie.
P.S. Will take cash only."
Second email
"Unfortunately I've just got called into the office (i get sent countrywide with less than 24hrs notice) so very busy till next week. Back at work we have some shipments for large items with parcelforce all week long. Just thought it would save you time and hassle if I'll send it along with them free of chargecompany benefits
.
I asked around and it seems you can pay cash upon delivery/inspection. It's quite simple since they're able to wait for you to check it out, if not as described they can just void the shipment with no extra charge.
If that's alright with you I'll need a name, address, contact number and also date&time suitable for the delivery.
Working long hours so If you want to pop in and pick it up you'll have to wait till next week or so when hopefully I'll get my head around
Let me know either way.
Jennie."
Third email
"Booked it for Wednesday am, 9-10am. Great, I've just finished filling out the forms online and Parcel Force will handle payment as well, you'll need cash. You should receive email notifications on how to proceed. Get back to me if you don't receive them and if you have any queries, glad to help.

And here is the email I received from "Parcel Force"

Absolutely disgusted that this goes on! Glad that I haven't been caught but I could have very easily been fooled into paying, this scam seems on the face of things, quite legitimate and real! As everybody has said, beware!! I will definitely be more careful when purchasing on the internet!0 -
I feel totally gutted and conned I like many have been scammed , yes by Jennifer bright from Lancashire, £200 I paid for a leather and fabric corner sofa, reported to the police and action line, I will contact trading standards tomorrow, Wish I had seen this posting before. I can not afford loosing out £200 somebody like gumtree or U kash should be responsible for refunding, If I get anywhere on this I will let people know. I am going to contact watchdog about it too. These scumbags need to be stopped and caught by the police, Never will I buy anything off the internet sites like gumtree or viva street ever again, once is shameful and stupid enough.here is the emails
all from Jennie bright

Hello As you will read I have been caught up in this scam by Jennifer bright
I managed to contact Gumtree this morning on 0905 8630000, I explained what has happened and they asked me for the ref number of the posting when I gave it to them they confirmed that they have the person as a male and as I have reported it to the Action Fraud they will get in touch with gumtree and they can request a PDA form and gumtree will then release the information on this jennifer bright, They said that the person will have to have a valid ID Address and Host pin which they have the details of and will pass over to the police when they get in touch. They also reported and removed the posting and sending it to their internal law enforcement department for investigation as I did mention there are other postings being made by this person and he is getting alot of money from innocent people. So give gumtree a call on the number above and report any scam that you have been caught in or nearly caught, these people need to be stopped ASAP.
will update you again when police contact me0 -
Yep same thing has happened to me.
I've contacted Action Fraud and tried to get the UKASH code cancelled. I've been told the code was redeemed the next day at BET3000, an online gambling site registered in Malta. I've contacted them and explained situation and given them the code and date of redemption etc. So they should be able to link it to the deposited account. I'll let you know if I get a reply but I'm not holding my breath.0 -
Yup I've just discovered I've been had! £199 Ukash to Jennie Bright. Only found out because I contacted ParcelForce.
Whats the best step to take now? I've called Gumtree and about to call the police but I guess there isn't much chance of getting my money back on this one and I'll have to bite the bullet and accept that I was too trusting!0 -
Hi, Exactly the same happened to me through Jennifer Bright who was selling a double pushchair and the UKASH voucher has been redeemed which means we just lost £210! They could not give me any details on who redeemed it though! I also reported the fraud, I am just really gutted as this is the last thing you need when you just gave birth prematurely to twins! And I would not think it could have been a fraud as we got the parcelforce emails confirming delivering dates,etc..
Below are some of her emails:
