    Ooops, I misread that too!

Do think you need a new one though, safety first and all that, you may find you use it a bit more if it actually holds its charge, though your recent spend has been super-frugal. There are some great looking deals out there (I had a ten minute look but am NOT looking again till I know if I need one or not!)

Well what a day. I can honestly say I am ruined. Just read up on the thread.

I have a contract which I pay £30 a month. I am happy that I have an iphone as I thought being in loads of debt before I couldn't get one. But I did. Has deffinatly improved my credit.

I am very stressed at the moment. My period is late, which is causing me to be more stressed. I am not pregnant but I am obviously so stressed its effecting my body. I need to sit back. I am stressing myself so much getting my deposit together. I am just so desperate for my own home. But I am trying as hard as I can. I need to find other ways that are not stressful to make money.

I have slipped with my spread sheets over the last week need to catch up.

I just wondered how old is everyone here? ( Is that rude to ask lol)x

    Hi Samtoby,

That is what i pay for mine atm, nearly out of contract though so was planning to go Sim only soon .........

Sorry to hear you are stressed, hope things start to get easier soon. Seems to be peaks and troughs for me though I post less when really stressed which is when I should really post more as I need the support and help to stay on track most then.

Re age....well if you promise not to tell any one....... I'm 38, 39 in the summer

Totally agree with that SOT - I do hardly use it (which can be really frustrating) as the beeping thing doesn't work!

I will have a hunt around over the next couple of weeks and see if I can snag a good deal - I did have a really quick look last night & found one for £12/month ... (there were a couple of others but not sure if the download limit would be enough (500mb).

Do any of you know roughly how much you use a month for some internet use?

Oh Sam, sorry to hear you're stressed - with me it affects my sleep..... easy to say and much harder to do, but try to have some "me" time to relax a bit .

Age .....well ..... errrrr...... let's say I have a rather big birthday coming along very soon and I won't have a 3 in there anywhere anymore!
    Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
    2016 Sell: £125/£250
    £1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000
    Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!

A friend of mine celebrated his "30 plus ten" birthday a couple of weeks ago, and he claims it wasn't as bad as he thought it might be, though he isn't keen on saying the number out loud :rotfl: I still have over 12 months to prepare for mine, but it seems to be getting closer faster the more I try to ignore it.

Re: phones : I am quite careful to keep an eye on it so I don't get stung by mistake, but I am what they would probably call quite a light user. I tend to check my emails a couple of times a day on it, pop on facebook and I might have a browse of the internet, BBC news, metoffice, this forum and my OU module at lunchtime, and have a look at a few things when I'm out and about at the weekend like maps or similar etc and I have been under 300 MB each month for the last few months.

I do try to do any significant downloading at home though , so new apps or (free) books for the kindle app on it I only get when I'm home on the WIFI.

  • Most amazing thing about my Android is that I can use it as a modem! It's been great when away, or when my broadband conks out!

I have no idea how much I use... but I am on it so much so A LOT! :D

  • I'll be 39 in April this year. Don't feel it though. Still feel like I'm in my mid twenties!

I've had a lovely HTC Desire Android phone for the last year on a £20.49pcm contract with Vodafone - unlimited texts, 300 minutes of phone calls and 500GB data limit. I never go over these so it suits me fine. Use it for my music, emails, internet, to balance my bank accounts (anMoney app it's called - absolutely fantastic and keeps me and all the household financial comings and going on track with no nasty surprises), address book, calendar, disc drive for transferring files, alarm clock in the morning, shopping lists and sat nav ... couldn't live without it.

Really wanted an iPhone at the time, but couldn't justify the initial cost for the phone or the crazy monthly charge and thought I'd just have to make do with an android, but it's been fab. No making do needed doing!

Can upgrade in a few weeks time though - not sure what else is currently out there or what I might go for. Certainly don't want to be increasing my monthly expenditure or pay for a phone so I guess that limits my options a bit...!
