How would they decide the Olympic Gold medal for Spreadsheet "Tweaking", or even Spreadsheet Staring!!!
Hate parting with money from savings, but can't cut corners when it comes to brake fluid!!
And also, that £500 . . . It wasn't meant for me. She clicked on my details accidentally instead of her decorator!! She has my details 'cos she sometimes sends the sprogs money for Christmas.
Oh well, never mind.
Have a good afternoon all.

Thats a shame:( but at least you know now:)
Gold medal could go to the most efficent budget, maybe a bunch of those unexpected bills could be given to contestants and then they have to rebudget to allow for them............whoever does it the best/quickest............GOLD:rotfl:Success means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Oh, bad luck about the decorators money! Still, at least you hadn't blown it all - that would have been a tricky one :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
And I forgot - congratulations on over a year of Debt Freedom!I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...0 -

Of course
Sam Good luck
Well DS1 not getting much better so I can see a few NSD s in the future as i can't leave the house:D However the meal planner needs some changing as he is off food and wants to save some of the meals for next week, plus can't leave his side for too long which restricts my cooking time.......this is when batch cooking would have been handy. Does mean I get to sit down a bit more than usual:eek: and that is giving me a change of playing with budgets and spreadsheets and fit in some stitching:DSuccess means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. I second the idea that unexpected bills should be banned. How are we supposed to budget and put money aside when things keep cropping up but we keep juggling and smilling and jumping those hurrdles........maybe we should create our own olympic sports:rotfl:
Speed budgeting, spreadsheet creation, batch cooking.......just a start.
:jWith everyone else - sounds fantastic and sure we'd be the winning team!:Dbackinbusiness wrote: »And also, that £500 . . . It wasn't meant for me. She clicked on my details accidentally instead of her decorator!! She has my details 'cos she sometimes sends the sprogs money for Christmas.
Darn it!:(
Dizzy have a lovely meal out .....
Right - must go and get the chicken casserole in the oven - should get dinner tonight and at least 4 portions for the freezer.
I'm a bit peckish - rarely eat lunch at the weekends and tummy is rumbling away and have been wondering why as it doesn't usually bother me and .... didn't quite get around to breakfast either:o so ... need to find something to keep me going until the casserole's ready or I'll be eating 1/2 of it which is no good at all!:rotfl:
Got some beef casserole chunks at the sm this morning so will be doing a huge pot of that in the SC tomorrow too:D Have a great evening all.:)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000

Been AWOL from the laptop today - procrastination at it's best - instead of OU work I have cleaned the house, taken the dog to a nice local country park.
I am now sat here looking rather odd with a potentially frighteningly red hair dye developing on my head - not a colour I have used before and it looks like there has been some dreadful blood bath, but I am hoping for the best that the end result is browny-red as opposed to the browny grey that I was sporting before I started this. This is also a point where ex-OH used to come in useful checking I'd not missed any bits and wiping the colour off my ears. Oh dear - might need to break out the exfoliating scrub tomorrow.
Speaking of spending from savings - I nearly didn't go to the country park today because I worked out that with parking and petrol it would be nearly £4, but I talked myself round - we always walk locally and it is well worth a few quid to go somewhere different and have a really good time. I am trying to tell myself that it doesn't matter that that £4 will never get into the savings pot, but it does feel odd to have spent it - I think I need to budget something like £10 a month just for me & the dog getting out and about seeing different places. She must be bored just seeing me now, so she deserves to get a few good walks out of me, and if it is formally budgeted for it might not be such a tough decision to go.
Must must must do my OU work tomorrow - it is costing me a fair bit of money to put myself through this degree, and if I don't keep up & put a decent amount of effort in, I am going to end up with a cr*ppy degree that I am too embarrassed to even mention on a CV. Not MSE at all!
Hugs & best wishes to all.

If you sign up to eReaderIQ.co.uk, they will send you an email every day with a list of the free kindle books available from Amazon for that day. There is usually a good variety.
This is the post I saw the other day that had the details of an email for free kindle books - I can't vouch for it I'm afraid, stumbled across it on Milly / Pixiechick99's diary thread whilst I was having a random lurk trying to avoid starting OU work (again! - anyone spot a pattern developing? Not good!)
