Yea dizzy it is, I found it easy, it took food choices away and never felt hungry once. Also because you get 100% nutrients I felt better than I had in years, no headaches no sore joints etc. The negative thing was its so expensive which led to some of the debt problems but hey ho it is sorted out now !January
LBM May 2008  Debt Free January 2012 :T0 -
Still here! Not had the Baby in the middle of the night!
I did however GAIN 2lbs more this week! I am getting worried about it now, I lost 21lbs at the start (before week 10) and then platued until week 34! Then I gained a lb here... and there! Now in 4 weeks I have gained 6lbs making it 8lbs altogether!!!! I know it's not a lot in the grand scheme of things... but the books say that at the end woman stop gaining and some even LOOSE weight! What's wrong with me???
I know my knees are REALLY playing me up (I have Osteo-arthritus and had them reconstructed a few years ago) but I am not sure if it's just the cold wind, or the hormones! Anyway I seem to have water retention (and can't work out if it might just be swelling!) I could laugh, I finanally start feeling better now I am late in my pregnancy and the rest of my body is going nuts instead!
I changed my avatar... have you noticed it just grew 3 sizes since the last one? I even look bigger!
LOL I don't really mind though! As long as Roo is healthy!
DH predicts that I will loose a stone within the next two weeks! HAHAHA! He's a funny man!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
So, in a bid to keep myself on the financial straigh & narrow I now have a Grocery Expenditure spreadsheet (complete with graph - I totally love graphs!).
I'm very pleased with it and cannot imagine life without Microsoft. Right, that list of 2012 targets is the next project.I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...0 -

Kind of... I have one I took hours before I got my pregnancy test, then around 13 weeks... then I took them 2 weekly kind of... since 27 weeks i've got them weekly!
I know i'm sad!
But with DS I only have 1 at 37 weeks... that's it!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -

It's not sad, I think it's lovely. It's a fairly monumental milestone in anyones life and I think it's great to have a photographic record along the way. Also nice for Roo to see in years to come.
I take it the Korma didn't work?? Maybe a spot of dancing, but take it really steady due to the arthritus (I have the same problem), the bump and the lack of muscle tone after all these weeks on bed rest!I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...0 -
Rising I really hope your foot feels better soon hun, though was wondering if it is safe to drive with a numb foot:)
How did you go with the shopping list?
I've probably not explained the "numb" thing very well..... not qute sure how to as it's a bit odd - my foot goes numb pain wise (which is a huge relief) but I can still feel it if I touch it etc? (although I don't have any feeling at all in my middle 3 toes:o and that's unlikely to come back as they had to cut through the nerves....)
I must work on my 2012 aims .....JulieGeorgiana wrote: »DH get’s paid at the end of December it pays January’s bills and goes into all the pots ‘groceries’ ‘petrol’ etc.
That's what I'm aiming for- I've managed it with the dog/cats & car pots :j but still working on the others
... it's really hard to try to "get ahead" IYKWIM.
Just thinking, I may well rename my "savings" pot (also have an emergency savings one) to Groceries & Fuel and try to stick a bit away each month.
If I can put £20 into it for 4 months, that would be me sorted from the fuel side (usually need 3 tanks one month = £90 and 2 tanks the next = £60 so averages out at £75) and if the groceries underspend goes into it too ...... mmmmmm happier now! Thanks JG:T
Dizzy wow! That's an impressive list you managed to get through yesterday:T
Ally Congrats on the bingo win!:D
All re weight loss ... desperately needed here tooI was pretty fit until a wee while ago but unfortunately had to drastically cut down on my walking whilst waiting for surgery on my foot .... then being housebound for 9 weeks following surgery :eek:and still having problems - hopefully these will be sorted with the injection but sadly still dog-less (and just can't / don't feel safe walking by myself) so need to work on fixing that!:)
ETA..... JG any sign of Baby Roo yet?Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -
Today I haven't achieved so much as yesterday (but then as I've been at work that's hardly surprising!)
- Started shopping lists for next shop. Was hoping to eek it out until next week but I'm noticing bit's I'm missing so it could be this week after all.
- Done my grocery spreadsheet and chart. I still love my chart. Can't copy & paste it sadly or you'd have seen it in all it's glory :rotfl:
- Descaled the kettle
- Cleaned inside the microwave. It was shameful. Enough said.
- Been to the bank.

Nope the Korma didn't work (never thought it would though... just really fancied it) and yup i'm STILL here!
just took the cat to the vets! He's 5KG!!!!!!!! we knew we had a problem... but we had him down from 4.5kg last Jan, to 4kg in the summer... and now... HE'S FAT! Thing is the two cats eat 1/3rd of a tin of wet food between them a day and hard food they get enough for 1.5 cats... and Princess eats most of that and she's 3.4kg! Plus the hard food bowl is NEVER empty! Vet and I agree he's sneaking into houses and stealing food (I know which two as well) I do hope when we move it'll help... I don't want him to suffer because he's overweight but i can't do anything! This all started when one neighbour thought he was a stray and started to feed him LOADS and now he's just always hungry and on the lookout! I should give her my vet bills!
Sorry, Rant over!
Oh, I am so proud of myslef tonight... I have been so poorly I haven't been able to cook without getting dizzy in the kitchen... today I cooked chilli for the boys, they were over the moon as it's been 8 months since I cooked a 'proper' meal (DH has been doing the cooking) and it went down really well! And I realised how much I missed cooking... can't wait until Roo is here and i can start doing it all again
Dizzy you put me to shame! I slept this afternoon...
Although this morning I did finalise my grocery shopping (I have a meal plan for 20th Jan - 16th Feb and the a big shop for the 19th Planned, which includes all tinned, dried foods, cleaning, toiletries and pet food for the 4 weeks and I have 4 smaller lists for fresh food... and it all comes to £190...! Leaving me £10 for those grocery items which run out or I forgot about!!! Normally I am £10 in the Red at this point and have to work out what i am NOT going to buy! So I am very pleased!) I also know that I have Nappies and baby products in the house to get me through the first 6 weeks after Roo is born... so now everything is in place and we shouldn't need to rely on take-aways after the Baby is here
Rising i had 4 lots of reconstructive surgery done on my knees from Dec 2007- Dec 2008 which is why I got so large (Gained 6 stone over the course, plus some before from not being abole to walk). I know how hard it can be to worry about your weight when being unable to walk and move about. But you shouldn't worry, once you can, just start walking a little and build yourself up and give yourself time to heal without pushing yourself. No need to diet so much as just build yourself back up to where you were.
Also, what you have planned financially to get ahead sounds great, it's really good to have goals and aims and I know that by Christmas you will be telling us how much has changed over the last year
Ps. What kind of Dog are you getting? A Lab?We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240
