Oh dear - just make sure that when she comes home you tell her what a struggle it was without her :) and that you didn't have anything decent to eat all week!

I do 95% of the shopping and 99% of the cooking so she would not believe me. Have just come back from shopping. This week I will be mainly living of chicken (fresh) in lemon sauce, faggots, toad in the hole and saveloys the last three are not on Mrs Mort's approved list.

I hope you have a lovely week mort, sounds sooooo nice!

I'm sooooo tired! Just finished packing everything we can (apart from a few essentials) and the freezer is clear of everything but dinner for the week!

    So this week:

    Sunday - Dump run!
    Tuesday - Unplug freezer...
Wednesday - Somehow clean out the bl00dy thing!
Thursday - Take down safe, and finish packing everything but 2 days of clothes...
Friday - Pick up keys, clean new house...
    Saturday - MOVE!

OMG is sounds so easy, I wish it felt that way!!

Today we were so blessed, a friend came over to babysit Eliza so we could pack, and her boyfriend did our garden for us (it was a horrific overgrown mess or weeds and bushes) anyway he took a hedge trimmer to it... and it looks amazing! I was quoted £180 to have it done, and he did it for FREE! So of course we bought them dinner (£30) and I think it was still very MSE :)

OMG I am going to be a houseowner in 6 days!!!!!
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!

so thats me now 34 weeks pregnant, due to finish work in a couple of weeks. the tireness is just too much, i really can't believe how much this pregnancy is taking out of me!! Not sure if its cause its my second or because its a boy!! lol :rotfl:

I'm losing my momentum of MSE, maybe due to the pregnancy, i dont seem as focused. Saving just doesnt have the same buzz right now. i keep logging in here and reading stuff on the forum in the hope it keeps me on the straight and narrow!

I don't recall being too tired towards the end of either pregnancy, mind you Mrs Mort always maintains she was doing the hard part:rotfl:

    3 days to go...!

I remember hitting 36 weeks and that was me... I was ready for the baby... and I'd had enough... I would have paid to have someone get her out... and she kept me waiting 5 more WHOLE weeks!!!

WOW i love reading this thread and catching up on posts...really looking forward to my debt free day so i can join in this happier thread with a view to avoiding getting back into debt! My £30k debt i took on i would say has helped push up income by at least £900 a month. Just needs this to continue as it has been and be patient to get the debts paid.

Increasing your income £900 is impressive. Between my husband and i we cleared as much as you... you do get there eventually and you'll be happier for it to :)

    Good luck :)

How long did it take you? I will be much happier for it!! Noone in real life knows about it, i am all on my own really. People notice how many hours i work and expect me to be away to splash out my money soon. In reality i borrowed to increase income now i need to use the increased income to pay debts and keep income coming.

Then i will save up deposit for a house(and ring :) ) and all that will be left is too ask the two most important questions il ever ask anyone in my life....

one thing is once im out of debt, seriously doubt i ever will be in again(mortgage excluded! )

So time to get cracking and pay it off...asap to get saving for the house before i have noone to ask the question to!

Years! I got into my debt in 2002, and had my LBM in 2003, in 2006 i met my DH who added his debts and thats when we worked to really clear it. We got serious in 2009 when I was made redundant, and were clear by 2010 (the week we got married) and we paid for the wedding in full. Now we just bought a house and I dont work so we could have more children (can't afford childcare of 2 children).

Being debt free got us what we wanted, a home and a family :)

I hope it gets you what you want in life. Once out of debt, you will work extra hard to stay there, you stop worrying about other people think, and you appreciate everything you have in life :)
