... the two most important questions il ever ask anyone in my life....

Apologies in advance. The two most important questions in Maison Mort.

Me: "What do you want for dinner?"
Mrs Mort: "Did you pick up anything nice?"

And on a more serious note, good luck for your plans.

Mort - you have made me laugh out loud tonight - fab!! just what i needed as im such a miserable git just now!! my DH says this pregnancy is making him tired too- honestly!!

JG - hope your getting sorted for the move, not long now!!

Youngbusinessman - being debt free is truly a fantastic feeling, the trick is to stay debt free. £30k is no mean feat but as you see from others it is totally doable if your focused enough. Like you my debt was hidden from the real world and was like my "dirty"secret, feels great now to be free. All the best and hope to see you at some point in this thread!

Only a few days left to work now, then i will be trying to keep out of the baby shops so as not to waste money!! lol

    Hi everyone

Been AWOL for ages, not a good thing really, lots of OU work, but I've nearly finished my two short courses then I'm back to just the one at a time which is far more manageable.

Met a boy, fell in a bit in love, got my heart broken far too quickly. Good sense tells me it wasn't ever gonna be long term, but not the point really! so had a few bad weeks on that front too, but definitely on the way back up now.

Been a bit spendy to make myself feel better - aaarghhh!!!!!!!!!! why do I not learn, it doesn't work, its only ever a sticking plaster! Not terminally bad, but does mean this month needs to be a tight one, but in among the spends there has been a fair bit of (nice) food, quite a bit of which is still in the cupboards and freezer so I should be able to shave a bit off the food budget to claw some back.

Good luck with the house JG

Good luck with the baby LianneH

    Happy quiet week Mort

and Oh no Rising, hope your run of rotten luck has turned a corner

and loads of love & hugs to all & sorry to everyone I've missed

    SOT xx

  • Ohhhhh SOT ((((hugs)))) for the sore heart.:(

Re the spending, if it's any consolation - I treated myself to a purse with the well known little dog on it the other day........ mostly funded from the money saved when I was treated to a belated birthday meal by friends & which I promised myself I'd use to buy myself something nice ...... but still have the guilty feelings!

    (it is gorgeous tho':o)

    Just finished packing...

I'm going to be a homeowner tomorrow!

Move is on Saturday, but we are visiting the house and giving it a clean tomorrow, and I'm going to eat takeaway pizza on the floor with my family :)

    So terrified, yet excited...
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!
