    Li - how long now?

Rising - how terrible for you, I suppose content insurance will cover it, you did say you had accidental cover :(

Today i hurt all over, 8 hours packing and i am ready for full body massage... tomorrow morning we have church, then we'll start again!

Poor Eliza is bored, she did so well but wants to be on the floor moving and we cant risk that until after dinner once I'd hoovered :S

  • Thanks JG I've bagged the horrid stuff & taken to the tip (bin collection not until the end of the week and thought it'd be a bit stinky by then!).

Some of the meat was salvageable for Maisie - so have spent the afternoon cooking but still don't actually have anything ready for tea!

    Another life lesson learned!

Well we are packing well :)

We've done the livingroom, hallway, 2 cupboards, garage and our room (minus the clothing).

Just DS room, Kitchen and all the clothing to do this weekend, that gives us next week to clean a bit and defrost the freezer (which is almost empty!! All 292ltrs!

We get the keys on the Friday 6th and we are going in to 'spring clean' (hoover, dust, wipe down) that night, and have a sainsbury's curry (as we have a built in oven we can eat on the floor and Eliza in the baby walker), then the Saturday 7th we move (movers come at 8am!!)

Just found out that I am liable for the rent on the flat until 6th August, which means it'll stand empty for a month, and I still have to pay council tax etc! So that's 2 weeks extra rent I hadn't considered and I had hoped that would take it out of my deposit... but no! So it's a whole months rent...!!!

We go on holiday 20th June, so I have to get the flat cleaned and ready before then, they will inspect it on the 6th (the day we are flying back) so on the plus side I won't have to deal with any of that while i'm on holiday (yay!)

I have to hand back the boxes to the moving firm by the 19th June, so the house will be unpacked before the holiday. Once we move we get just under two weeks to unpack and paint DS room (as my DM is staying for two weeks to look after our cat and will paint a large England Rugby Rose on DS wall while we are away - she's also offered to retile the bathroom and paint butterflies on Eliza's wall)

So at least we get to go on holiday without anything to worry about :)

So this weekend was so busy all I did enjoyable is take Eliza to the park, she LOVES the swings (now she can sit up we can do things like that)!

    I will post a photo...

Just have to share... My baby sister just had her 4th son this afternoon!

He's 8lb 8.5oz (her smallest by far, the last one was 9lb 12oz)! I am so happy for her, she really wanted a 4th boy :)

Still think she's crazy, her eldest turned 4 last month

  • Good luck JG - exciting times!

Rising - aw that sucks. What a pain!

Not been on so much lately - been really busy at work in the last few weeks of term, and also had loads of expenses - the school trip payments all seemed to come at the same time. (Ex was dragging his heels on his contribution, and at one time even asked if I could sub him! Needless to say, I said no as he earns prob about 3 times as much as me! He's not had his LBM and at 50 doubt he ever will! Stumped up in the end tho')

It does my head in because I budget and stick to it - sometimes going without for the benefit of my children (not looking for praise or whatever - as far as I see it that's just what you do!). He on the other hand spends between £250 - 300pcm on cigarettes and wine. And then has the cheek to plead poverty. I think not!

Sorry - that was a bit of a rant.

Otherwise just trying to keep the spends down. Last day of term on Friday - yahoo! Hope it stops raining for some of it!

They are carrying out a business review in our local education authority with the possibility of having to apply for our own jobs next June. No point stressing at this stage, but it is a wee cloud on the horizon.

Hope everyone else is well and not getting too wet in our good old British summer.

    Take care all,

    BiB x

Looking forward to a quiet week while Mrs Mort spends a week in London with her sister. Just me and the dog:T.

May just have to put the local take away on speed dial:rotfl:
