11 post free days, is that a record for this thread?
Had an interesting chat with Mrs Mort about my feeling a bit lost since clearing the debts. It's been 6 months since then, oddly enough it feels longer.
Anyway we are going to be going back over our finances and start working on clearing down the mortgage, this has been an ambition/plan of mine.Proud to have dealt with my debts, became debt free on 03/11/2011. Repaid £54,723.41 LBM May 2006.

Haha!
Finally I can view and post on my mobile again
Mort, since being debt free we focused on getting a deposit, to keep up momentum, like you becomming mortgage free is our next goal. Im not sure what I would do without a goal...
Rising glad to hear your dog is settling in x
Reference 'pots' I have for example £1k in mine, I minus all my stuff (£200 food, £350 petrol etc) and at the end my total is my money to spend... it says b-£0.03 right now..for pots i build up monthly (insurance) every month my minus figure for that bill goes up 1/12th (ie.£30 each month). Does that make sense?
Ref. Lodgers - don't do it unless you NEED to. I hated it and I need my freedom and independance.
Ref. Moving - agggggghhhhh! We were supposed to exchange at the end of May... everyone is panicing because ive said if it doesnt happen this week I don't have time to move and hand my flat back before my holiday. So if its not done by Friday I won't exchange until August, delaying everyone by 7 weeks!
On a good note, Eliza is 5 months old (just) and can roll across my living room, sit unaided... loves singing and kisses... and can say 'b' and 'p' and has the cutest giggle x
Hope everyone is well x

Been thinking about posting but TBH just plodding along & not really up to anything very exciting
Maisie's unfortunately not well so have had an emergency trip to the vet on Friday and another yesterday - the poor lamb's still really under the weather.
Unfortunately have no idea where I'm going to pay the vets bill from as I've just raided the "absolute last ditch emergency fund" to pay for her spay op last week- fingers crossed it doesn't hit this month's cc bill as the cut off is the 16th and anything bought that day sometimes hits the bill and other times doesn't (it was paid on on the 16th)
JG thought we'd not heard from you as you were busy movingsorry it's turning into a bit of a saga.

Ive been so busy with life and paperwork.. but mainly not accessing via the mobile is my main problem. When I go online my computer would freeze constantly... so being busy I've not been on.
Today i have time because DH said since Eliza and i are horribly poorly with cold we are stuck. in bed
Hence why I tried to access mse once again.

Grrr accidently hit post...
I hope maisie will be ok x what's wrong with her? Was it her op?
Will your insurance pay for maisie? Or is it too new?
Even if they pay its hard as you have to pay first. I've had a £2.5k bill before so sympathise xWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. Not quite sure - she had a temp of 106.1 deg when they admitted her (dog temp should be 101 deg) but it's thankfully come down to normal now.
She's either picked something up off another dog (she's really not had much contact with them until she came here so won't have a natural immunity to everyday bugs) or she's eaten something horrid (which she does do, but she's not got an upset tummy so think that's unlikely).
Insurance .... touchy subject - she was 3 days off her exclusion period being up (bloomin' typical!) and now anything related will be excluded from cover ......
TBH the bill was about 1/2 what I was expecting (switched vets recently & these ones are great which is the most important thing but also a lot cheaper than the other ones) and only around the excess atm anyway.
Poor wee lamb's not herself tho' - sleeping most of the time which I'm hoping is a) the antibiotics doing their thing and b) her way of dealing with being ill (I sleep most of the time when I'm ill).Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
