Store very busy and slow going as everyone has to fill in a TV license form. .

Don't the staff realise they don't have to do that with items that don't have a tuner built-in?

And don't the customers know that they can just scribble down anything as as the customer isn't legally required to write their real name or address? ;)

yeah, it's at this price because they're not paying the workers in the far east that much.

buy this at your conscience ...

I feel it is my moral duty to go and buy one. The way I see it is that if these do not sell out then Asda/Walmart will not buy any more, therefore indirectly putting people in the Far Eastern sweatshops out of a job.

I'm going to buy 2 to strengthen the foundations for my conservatory!:rotfl:

Sold out by 10.30 at Sutton store (and no I didn't manage to get one!)

Very nice CS man told me people were buying 6 or 7 at a time despite there being a notice up saying only 1 per customer. The check-out staff were just putting them through as seperate transactions.

Now, why would someone need 7 DVD players....
  • They had plenty in Widnes this morning.
I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like you :p

:p would like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing :o

If anyone thinks the DVD player from asda is not for them, the Post Office are selling an AMSTRAD one for £12.50, plays everything and also has jpeg playback,. The Model is a E051, if anyone is interested.

    they're on ebay already

although with a BIN of £15, then less ebay/paypal fees I really can't see why people bother

edit: just seen one with a BIN of £13.99....madness (or desperation :rotfl: )

maybe but 10p listing days on that value would only save 25p. :)
There's still FVF and the extortionate paypal fees
