Well, that's cheered me up no end!!!

Its a fixed term deposit account so should not have any contact with them until it matures.
I was one of the fortunate ones who's account got opened without any problems (within 10 days).
19th Nov - Posted application form and cheque.
22nd Nov - Received text message telling me they have received application and are processing it.
28th Nov - The Cheque got paid in today, but YB will backdate any interest from the 23rd Nov, which will also be the date of opening on the Certificate of Deposit.
29th Nov - Cheque cashed, funds left my current account today.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
I'm sending my application and cheque off on Saturday, providing it prints out.
Mine is to the Clyesdale and I notice it is a freepost address.
Just for interest sake, does freepost take any longer than say 2nd class post or even 1st?
I'm very tempted to send it first class but would probable send it on Monday.
Having said that since Clyesdale has got a bashing, I might make a new application out to the Yorkshire:(0 -

Tried ringing the online helpdesk today about the printed form.
Waited in the queue for 15 minutes and then gave up after repeatedly listening to the message about looking on the website for help....0 -
Thought it was too good to be true:(
Finished off my application form tonight, pressed print and nothing happened.
Tried re-print and a pdf came up saying application was unavailable and to inform the technical help desk with a reference number of 13 digits.
That's probably the number of irate would-be customers.
I'm running I.E.8 and looking at other posters, they have had no problems with running this.
Ironically they sent an e-mail thanking me for applying and said I had 7 days after the form was printed to be able to get the rate.
I've been given my ref. number to put on the back of my cheque which is now sat here waiting to be posted.
I'd read someone else had rang the helpdesk but ended up hanging on for 15mins and still got nowhere.
I'm loathe to travel 25 miles to my nearest branch so what now?
I can't believe such a simple thing can go so wrong.0 -

I'm going to try doing the application again next week and see if it will print off - otherwise seems KRBS has a similar 1 year offer: http://www.krbs.com/products/savings-and-investments/investment-bonds/fixed-rate-bonds/one-year-special-edition-fixed-rate-bond-issue-2/
Though some posts on this forum don't talk to highly of their service either0 -
I know about the 3.6% offer but I am trying for the 2yr 4% one.
I fired an irate e-mail off last night telling them they are missing out on thousands of £s worth of business and asking for a solution but no reply today.
Anyway I rang 0800 7076584 a moment ago and chose the second option. spoke to a very helpful lady who said they were trying to resolve the printing problem.
She said she could send me a form on Monday but if i rang 0800 028 3632 tomorrow they could retrieve my application as I had a reference no. and hopefully sort it out from there.
Watch this space:(!!!0
