McDonals apple pie with ice cream rip off!

I know its nothing BIG but guessing a rip off's a rip off.

Its £1.29. Not only is the apple pie a third of the size of a normal apple pie (they small ones in red are the ones to be given with the ice creams) but its got a third if not less of the apple from the original green one.

This is major cost-cutting by this monolopy company.

After the coke glass fiasco I knew it was going to be smaller than it looked on paper.
I guess you could always make your own - two apple pies for £1, a tub of cheap ice cream, a squeezy bottle of sugary stuff, a glass and you're done.

They used to sell Apple Pie and Ice Cream a few years back, it was a full sized one on a plastic plate with a big serving of ice cream for 99p i think but they stopped doing it.
  • Ice cream makes me sick anyway, but I'm not surprised that it's small.

  • Can't see what's wrong with this, it's a Caramel Apple Pie Sundae, not an apple pie with ice cream. The sundaes have always been overpriced compared with their other ice cream products.

Perhaps the logic of serving it with ice cream is that you've then got something cold to plonk your tongue into after setting it on fire with the 'hotter than the face of the sun', molten lava pie filling. Less likely to get sued.

Why is it a monolopy (sic) company?
I can name at least one other company that sells meat based products sandwiched between 2 halves of a bap. And I suspect there may be more.

Did you know they will sell you a cone for 50p?

Have to agree, noone is forced to give money to McDonalds. I can't even remember the last time I went to one. Hardly a monopoly.

Its trading illegally as you are not really getting what is promised. It should state Small Apple Pie with Ice Cream Sundae, as they have clearly cut corners to save on product.

Yeah that 2 apple pie with ice cream WAS worth the 99p. But funny to see how much cost cutting they have had to indulge in, in the space of 3 years.
