30 Day Shred

  • I'm a bit late to start with you as I'm on day 23 now, but I would say definitely do it! It's hard work to start with getting the motivation to do it every day, but after less than a week I actually found myself looking forward to doing it, even on level 3! I can't believe how much fitter I am too after such a short time, each level time I started a level it was totally killer, but 2 or 3 sessions in it gets easier and I am seeing results, not so much on the scales, but in inches.

If I can do it, anyone can and it's only 20 minutes!

I actually think I might miss it when day 31 comes by...

I hadn't really thought of a set way to check progress more a sharing and encouragement thing :D My reason for doing it is to shift a few pounds (ok loads of lbs) as well as increasing my overall fitness levels which are poor :o

This will be my fourth day and I am finding it tough to get off the couch today however I am keen for the results so I am just about to make a start. I am planning on doing this daily until Christmas and hopefully by then I should at least see some improvement :j

I found when I done it, albeit only for around 2 weeks, I didn't lose any pounds only inches. That may just have been me though, but that didn't help me when I need to lose weight :( x

Well I am hoping to drop a dress size by Christmas so either by weight or by inches I will be happy!

Today was tough though as my muscles are stiff and I got tired quickly but I did as much as I could (which was most of it) and I am pleased I didn't just opt out.

I just bought this and am going to start it tonight- will let you know how it goes! :)

Do you need any specific equipment or is it all body weight exercises?

You just need some hand weights - though I know some people who have used tins of beans at a push! :)

Think I might need to start on this again - saw some good results last time I did it but got a bit lazy towards the end.
  • Too many people are obsessed with the scales - inches are as good as weight. Gilly, why specifically weight? You obv don't have to answer if you don't want to :)

Just ordered it, done Insanity which was great but I got bored during my second run through and need a new challenge for when I finish couch to 5k :)

I want to lose inches too, don't get me wrong, but I am too heavy for my height, it's not healthy, if it was all muscle then fair enough. I have started couch to 5k :)

  • How are you doing with it? I've gotten to just over 3.5k in 30mins :D
