Hi everyone!
We'd like to hear from MoneySavers using the Forum on mobile devices about how it works for you?
Are there any buttons you find fiddly?
Do you regularly find yourself clicking the wrong thing?
Are there any you think could be moved to help improve things?
From our point of view, we quite often get mistaken reports to the Forum Team and clicks on the spam button, as well as MoneySaving questions that were intended to be posted, not sent to us.
If anyone's had this happen it would be great to hear from you and how you think things could be improved to prevent it.
Any feedback on this is greatly appreciated.
PS, we're aware of the requests for Tapatalk so if you could stick to other feedback on here that would be great. Thank you

I sometimes access MSE via my iPad, no problems with anything but that may be because I use a stylus instead of my fat fingers.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Well, as I've asked on other posts, and was going to try again tonight, it's been impossible inserting an avatar because I'm on a mobile phone. There's alot of things a phone browser won't let you do, or they play up.
I did suggest the site having a selection of their own, that us mobile users (of old mobiles in particular) can just click on and insert it, like on a few other sites. So, pretty please??

I've done it! :rotfl: I've finally managed to upload an Avatar! Great! It must have been my stupid browser's fault.

Have you thought of using a different mobile stylesheet to render the forums? I had a playaround with the css and came up with the following, the only tweak really needed is some classes so the forum username appears, but it solves the zoom in/zoom out issue, and enlarges the next/prev page links.
Attached is what I came up with0 -
The site is almost unusable from my phone. The biggest problem being it's so hard to read. I have to zoom right in and scroll. I don't understand why this can't be resolved with a stylesheet as suggested above.
The search drop down doesn't work on my android phone. It disappears when I try to type in it.
The pagination links are too close together.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
I find it easy to read posts/threads on my phone however although the page fits nicely to my screen to show the whole post, it does not show the name of the poster on the screen (I have to scroll across the screen to see it) which is very annoying!* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

I cannot log into mse directly on my phone, it takes up too much memory and then is really slow. painfully slow, to navigate anywhere!
I view posts through my emails and that is not too bad, but not fair when I cannot reply on the go.
think you need to work on reformatting for mobile users esp non smartphone users.0 -
There is too much information to fit on my phone's screen so I have to zoom right in and then for every post I have to scroll sideways each time to read all of the text.
Buttons are too small on my phone; just not useable at all and this means I don't read the forums out and about (on the train etc...).0 -
Forums work fine on my phone, pretty much exactly as they do on the laptop. Am using Operamini on a Blackberry Torch (I guess you'd find it useful to know how it works on different phones/browsers?)0

I've given up using this forum on my phone. There are just too many unnecessary bits on display that take up otherwise useable space. If you could produce a version that removed everything about the first line of green links (Main Site, Forum, etc), then remove all the auto-generated links and remove all the boxes to the right (how to contact us, forum jump etc) then the forum might become useable.0
