You remember how just yesterday I said that I'd paid £400 to the CCCCC & now only had another £230 to clear ?

You may also remember how I said that I was going to apply for the M&S CC to buy the new sofa that I really want ?

    ...

Weeeeeeell ... it seems that I have been the victim of a slight CCCCC / sofa related buying incident this morning .

I was truly 'just looking' ... but then there was a sale, there was increased cashback via Quidco (for just the next 5 days so absolutely not in time to get new 0% CC) & the next thing you know an entire sofa just fell into my virtual basket. Yes, it was a very big basket.

I am a weeny bit ashamed. But overall, I'm quite chuffed that I haven't taken out another CC & that I get £130 off the sofa I wanted & was happy to pay full price for. I'm also relieved to have this purchase out of the way, I can start 2012 fired up & full of determination to clear the CC (yet again :rotfl:) & then keep the momentum going.

I'm not sure when the payment will actually be processed but with the delivery date 3 weeks away, I reckon I have that time to gather most of the money together.

I now need to clear £830 asap

    I'll be back with a plan ...

Part 1 of the plan appears with thanks to lovely bank who are kindly waiving pre-arranged overdraft interest until April :T

    I've never used my overdraft, & it's only £200, but I will now :D

Holiday savings boosted by recent CB payment & now = £446 :j

Aaahh but do you have the CC debt envy too ?

The sofa I currently have is one of those wooden futon sofa bed type things that makes your bum go numb after about an hour & is also covered with a throw so looks a bit studenty :o ( & I'm far too old for that look) I've wanted a new one for years but as it wasnt broken & did what it was meant to, it was the very last thing on my list of items to be replaced. :D

My stuff isn't fancy or expensive - mostly flat pack or ex display :rotfl:- but now we'll finally have a comfy sofa to sit on & I can now just forget about buying new stuff for a few years :).

Of course, I now have to work out how to get rid of the old wooden beast ... so heavy & it was built in the living room so may have to be di-sected in order to leave

Cashback of £35 already tracked .

Vodafone have rejected my claim for the missing £40 from the iphone deal so far, because apparently I'm" too early" to claim

Hopefully this means they're going to push it through this month.
Their blurb says it tracks at £1 & then the full £40 should appear after the 20th of the month.

I bought it in October, getting impatient now

Done 3 surveys & now off to empty washing marvel before heading to post office to send my sisters gift, how annoying:(.

No, I have enough of my own thanks :D. In fact that was the only thing stopping me from buying one a couple of months ago.

Mine is so tatty now after 12 years, it's just so darn comfortable, so easy to sleep on I swear the cushions are injected with morphine....

Me too!! We're struggling along with a saggy Ikea job until we finally get around to buying a house. :o
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.
