Wouldn't it be lovely if all work requests were accompanied this way? I'd be 20 stone and a happy employee :D

    Hell yeah :T

Or maybe Gordons in my case, although then I'd just be a wealthy lush :rotfl:

Hi Cheery , Still cant face the renewals & annoyingly, I deleted the email from confused.com in which they kindly sorted through all quotes for me Grrrr.

I'm kinda missing being at work - but only for the male company, avoidance of naff crimbo tunes & the fact it stops me eating :o. I've gained 2lbs since Friday . Laidback Dude texted last night & is back on the scrabble team so I've subtly asked if anyone is going for a crimbo booze-up this week & that I'm available :D. Was meant to be meeting up with my favourite lovely friend this week but her OH still not great so we've postponed & other friends are either working til Friday or too far away.

Definitely need to create a far more local social life next year; & that along with joining a new gym are top priority for health concerns.

2012 is going to be all about ME in terms of my own health & happiness. So much time in the last 4 years has been spent staying home to avoid spending money on keeping up with social stuff & frankly it's not been great for me as I've got in to the habit of not going out & I've also tended to buy more stuff to fill the social gaps :(.

I've created 2 lots of soup so far today by using up veggies lurking at the bottom of the fridge. It looks really cold & uninviting outside so I've not ventured anywhere but will go out later on to deliver cards to neighbours.

I've also done a couple more surveys & have claimed another £5 Amazon voucher so now have £15 in my account :D.

Off to do home-job workload now, keeps the pennies rolling in as I'll be superskint in January due to repaying the CCCCC.

    Bye for now
    xx

Hi lovely, VERY long hours and intermittent internet have meant that I missed you feeling down so sorry for this. Glad you're sounding more positive and that You are going to be your priority from now on. Putting yourself first is a great plan for the future, and as Hypno says you're SO worth it. X

I'll join you here too. I feel like such a hermit I've forgotten how to enjoy myself when I go out because I'm so nervous :o

Morning all & a special Bless & Thank You for posting Pippi :A quite amazing considering you're whizzing all over the place.

DD & I went somewhere last night & came away with just one bag of shopping that cost over £50 . More details & a bit of a pledge in a bit, just need to empty the washing marvel & then GET ON WITH SORTING BREAKDOWN & INSURANCE - I'm shouting at myself, not you lovely peoples ;).

Home is even more of a tip than I'd imagined possible; kitchen bursting at seams with pantry stockpiles & it's got to the stage where DDs room is actually the declutteriest room , yeh, I know, amazing. Well, I did nag constantly for about 6 hours to get her to do it:rotfl:.

Our kettle, toaster & i-pod delivery are due some time between 7am & 8pm & I have crumpets, teacakes & coffee on standby, ready for the maiden voyage.

Right, I'm off to do something to either help the messy situation or make matters worse ...

    back in a bit

Ouchie! My place is in a similar-ish mess, so I do feel your pain, but at least my deliveries are done, and its up from here. Loving the maiden voyages of the toaster and the kettle! Bless all who eat and drink from them ...

Well the shortest day is in progress & we'll soon be sailing towards longer lighter ones :j

It's not a very sparkly one here; more dull & drizzly really.

Never mind though, it's not very cold & I might just get out into the garden later on; there are veggie peelings to be composted & twigs to be gathered up. I also need to check on the veg patch & I know it's really too early, but I'm almost hoping to see some of those little crocus / i ? peeping above the ground.

The washing marvel has been emptied & garments now hanging in the bathroom to dry - no use of launderette so far & with the window kept open, no damp either :)

I've sorted the home insurance & breakdown cover :j.

I didn't go through quidco though :o. Having finally read all the renewal paperwork from my current home insurers, I noticed that alongside the £76.42 renewal quote, they are offering a years free breakdown.

My current breakdown cover renewal quote is for £38.85 & having investigated other breakdown prices on quidco, I couldn't get a quote below £60. So, that's £38.85 + home insurance, & could I get that for less than £37.57 hmmmm

Actually, what I mean is, can I be bothered to spend precious time searching, comparing & calculating to see if I can get the home insurance for that price ?

    No, I can't :p.

I'm forever trying to simplify my life & whilst I do love a bit of cashback, I also love not having to faff around & spend hours doing calculations. So, I'm hereby declaring that I went for the simple option which was to call the AA, speak to lovely man & get home insurance & breakdown for (what I think is a) bargainous price of £75.68p.

I get all the documents emailed to me, thereby saving both trees :j & my physical filing space & I can store it all on my own personal cloud so it's safe :D. ( Well, I will be able to once, I've sussed out how to do it :rotfl:)

Next task is fitting all the stuff in the kitchen cupboards before home-job workload arrives - not looking forward to that :(

3 separate deliveries due at some point too Aaaaagggghhhhh *runs to make a space*

    More finance news later ...

Brilliant insurance quotes. I agree, at that price it's not worth faffing about with cashback (if you don't have the time). Personally i would have been curious to see if I could get cashback that was greater than the quote....but then I am getting more than a little obsessive about these things now :D

Enjoy your first cuppa and crumpets :)
