    Hello again,

first thing to report is that the chicken fillets did defrost in the microwave, but a bit too much so that they were definitely on the arid side by the time they came out of the oven :rotfl:. I thought the roasted veg was lovely & DD made a valiant effort but we both thought that some kind of sauce would have helped & only when we'd finished did we realise that gravy would have been ideal .

DD & her BF arrived & insisted on driving us to the cinema ( result ) so I paid for the tickets which was £32.40. I'm happy with that as it's great to be in a position to be able to treat people without fearing consequences. Yes, I paid on the CC but it will be paid off tomorrow, so all is good :). There are lots of films I'd like to see at the moment so will need to 'up' my fun budget I think.

I've not been near the iron all weekend so will have to catch up with that or DD will only have crumpled shirts to wear. This is why she has 6 of them ;).

Off to get an early night for a change, ugh to Monday tomorrow, although I am going to wear a Freedom Frock which will be fun as it will feel like having something new :j

I shall report the grocery spends & fingers crossed for a cheap shop,

    G'night

  • Hurrah for films, Freedom frocks and fun budgets :j

Nice point about being able to treat people. One of the things I love about my current place is having space for people to stay - partly for fun and partly just in case ever needed.

Ugh to Monday, quite, but not long til holidays :T

Oooo I feel like an innocent - what's a freedom frock?
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

I bet she's really, really busy. Or been whisked off to the Caribbean. Or ... dunno. Not having our Lula come down with a bug. She's in the Caribbean, on Robert Branson's island, living in the other house.
