A Year of Living Frugabulously

Good evening to all,
Brilliant Z :j I was watching that very episode on Dave or something similar the other night.
I bought DD some orange & mango juice recently, just so that every breakfast time I can sing " ...I want to lie shipwrecked & comatose, drinking fresh mango juice ... " to her :rotfl:.
Well, it starts the day off with a giggle
.
Now ladies, please don't let one little bed-time story put you off the delights of dating on the interschnazz. The Flying Noctor - another of his personas is a pilot, & surely a non doctor is a 'Noctor' yes ? - is an extreme case & to be frank, if you did have the misfortune of coming across him, you'd be unlikely to fall for him, he's so arrogant & foul-mouthed.
There are lots of lovely men out there ( second turning on the left after Pluto
) & as Z rightly pointed out, there are many women on the take too.
My only advice ( after the obvious safety precautions highlighted by Z) would be to trust your instincts & if someone makes you feel uneasy or insecure, don't see them again. I would also highly recommend having a dump email address for joining dating sites, & a cheap payG phone rather than your usual one.
No more dating advice from me tonight; I'm going out with 8 different men on Friday  All at the same time too. Colleagues work stag-ish do & I've been invited along too . Should be fun ...
.
Back to business; as Z rightly ( again - dammit man, are you my conscience ?) said, I'm here to gain a camper-boat & fairy wings so it's a good thing that today has been a frugal NSD number 9.
It's an even better & most fabulous thing that Quidco have paid a juicy £42.32p into my black beauty account :T.
That will give the holiday fund a boost, & then next week I'm hoping & yearning to pay a sum back to the buffer fund. I want it full up again by the end of this year, irrespective of imperative midwinter festive gifting & feasting.
Need to hop off for an indulgent bathing session with book & will pop back later to catch up on diaries.
Bye for now

But surely a non-pilot is a Nilot? So that would be a Nlying Nilot Noctor Nho. Probably just a big Nho Nho for short...There are lots of lovely men out there ( second turning on the left after Pluto
)
I live nowhere near pluto.
and know a number of lovely men. It's just not useful to me...My only advice ( after the obvious safety precautions highlighted by Z) would be to trust your instincts & if someone makes you feel uneasy or insecure, don't see them again.
Absolutely.I would also highly recommend having a dump email address for joining dating sites, & a cheap payG phone rather than your usual one.
Also skype may be worth setting up for a number of reasons.Back to business; as Z rightly ( again - dammit man, are you my conscience ?)

Hi Lula :-)
Ive signed up to Quidco.. thats great about the cash back!0 -
As a seasoned internet dater, I'd say go for it. Yes keep safe and obviously I can only speak as a lady who's looking for fun rather than 'The One's but it's a laugh if nothing else. Sometimes that's just telling friends what a freak they were but give it a go. It beats being sat in. X'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Do any of you ladies do internet dating as a way of not having to buy your own dinner that night? I've heard of this being done before. Although I must admit when I was single I went out on dates and felt really guilty if I wasn't allowed to pay, but it was cheaper. *snigger*Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Pah, forgot to subscribe and now look at all this nattering I've missed!
Never done internet dating myself (although have met plenty of folk off the internet
) My mum did it for a while! Mr Daffs is still on the guardian soulmates site apparently from before we got together - someone we know (but don't like very much) was searching on there and he came up as her perfect match :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: (and no, I'm not worried, I trust him completely, and just know how utterly idle he is with any kind of admin type activity :rotfl: :rotfl: - he'll probably never get round to removing himself!). I do know a few folk who've met husbands and wives doing that though! Never heard of it being done to just not buy your own dinner! What a cheek! 0 -
I've never done internet dating but I did joing a single parents site a few years back and ended up spending a couple of nights with a bloke I met off there - probably one of the best looking blokes I've ever seen
- but he was a bit of a player and I really couldn't be doing with all that.
I've never thought of doing internet dating just to get a free meal - it wouldn't be worth the hassle would it????! I'd rather go round my mums and get a free meal there!!It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey

Well one of my friends originally met her husband on the net and another married his wife after meeting online and only seeing each other in person twice, so clearly it can work (both sets are still together and happy). It's actually male friends who have also put me off as they seem to have met complete freaks - funnily enough, I had to have a word with one of them off about buying dinner for a woman who had been rude to him throughout the earlier evening and who he never wanted to see again, he was just too polite to make his excuses and she emailed him again the next week clearly expecting free dinner! There's being nice and there's just being, well, then again I have also had to point out to him that no he is not paying for my dinner the third time in a row. I'm so glad he did meet someone lovely. Yes there are lots of fab men about... hopefully nearer than Pluto as I have sworn I'm not doing long distance again

I probably just need to sort out my profile to find matches with people who really interest me, and maybe choose the right site. I have an Eharmony account at the moment but it keep matching me with deeply religious teachers who can't spell. I have no idea why as these are not things we have in common (or that I am seeking).
Z - will remember that your opinion of my bottom would be unedited
Am now imagining the Kryton lesson on how to handle the 'do you think she's pretty?' question... :rotfl:
Hurrah for Quidco :T Lula I thought of you yesterday when a Facebook friend posted photos of their new campervan

And that is a giant dollop of common sense there...RosaBernicia wrote: »There's being nice and there's just being, well, then again I have also had to point out to him that no he is not paying for my dinner the third time in a row.
Well you know - some people are just nice.
And it wouldn't surprise me if I was the same...(at least for a while)RosaBernicia wrote: »I probably just need to sort out my profile to find matches with people who really interest me, and maybe choose the right site. You probably didn't tick the box "Not looking for deeply religious teachers who can't spell..."RosaBernicia wrote: »Z - will remember that your opinion of my bottom would be unedited
If it's good enough, you may not get an answer -- :drool:RosaBernicia wrote: »Am now imagining the Kryton lesson on how to handle the 'do you think she's pretty?' question... :rotfl:
