Nicky, I can't answer all your questions, but I can say that it's highly unlikely your chilli will dry out, because there is no evaporation with a slow cooker, the lid keeps all the moisture in. You would only maybe have a problem if using just a wee drop of chilli and leaving it on the high heat for ages.
I have an awt sc and I use the low setting for all day cooking, but I don't have a medium setting.
Cooking chicken in quite safe in the slow cooker, at least I've never had a problem with it. The temperature build up over the length of cooking time, so it does reach a low boil.
I don't have a curry recipe, but you should be fine just using your own recipe, and I think the yogurt'll be fine because it's not really going to proprely boil, so it shouldn't separate, but I think there's some trick, where you mix the yogurt with cornflour to stabilise it.
There is a slow cooker questions thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=271457&highlight=quick+questions
an there's also a slow cooker recipe thread somewhere.
I'm sure somebody else will come along a tell you where it is.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0 -

I'm sure you can't freeze melon as it has such a high water content...but i haven't ever tried to freeze it.

I dont see why not, you can buy frozen sweet corn,I drain it first tho other wise you might end up with a big sweetcorn ice cube!!

Yes, I do this all the time with sweetcorn, peas, kidney beans etc:o
Just drain and freeze, I also never bother to defrost them when I need them, just chuck em right in and give them a few mins to heat through:rolleyes:All comments and advice given is my own opinion and does not represent the views or advice of any debt advice organisation.

Yes, cut it and take the seeds out, then slice or make melon balls, lay on a tray to freeze so they don't all stick together and put into a bag/box the next day.
This should be done with fresh melon but it has worked for me in the past with dying ones:oAll comments and advice given is my own opinion and does not represent the views or advice of any debt advice organisation.

Any thoughts on what to do with a frozen pack of chinese pancakes ( the sort you would serve with crispy duck, if you had any). ta.Eat food, not edible food-like items. Mostly plants.0
