I made a pasta bake yesterday and put a few portions in the freezer for later. someone at work told me today that I should not freeze pasta. Is this correct, have I wasted all that lovely dinner?

In the absence of the 'right' booklet from the Morphy Richards site ('cos they don't have any downloads for that model), I'd download any of their breadmaker instruction booklets and experiment - look at the 'features' of the different models for which they do still do downloads, and see if you can find a similar model.

Or find the bread recipes on this board and experiment, but I'll leave it to Squeaky to point you to the friendliest of those ...

I freeze pasta with sauce all the time. I do not think there are any food safety issues

I don't think it's a food safety issue, but I always find that frozen and reheated pasta tends towards the rubbery side... or am I doing something wrong?

    Hi folks

I'm in the middle of making a fish pie, however, I forgot to take the cod out of the freezer, can I defrost it in the microwave?

I don't see why not - although the microwave may be a bit harsh for fish.

what about paoching the fish to keep it moist - and if you only poach it very lightly it can finish cooking in the fish pie itself? I'd use milk with a pepper corn and bay leaf and when it's about still slightly undercooked continue as normal for fish pie. HTH
