I bought the BeautyUK mascara (which is a couple of quid) after reading several beauty bloggers rave about it. It's fab and the only mascara I have used that curls my very straight lashes.

I've got the same problem - chronic panda eyes. I've tried several of the recommeded mascaras on this thread and still can't find one that stays put.

I've now given up. I dye my lashes and use a clear mascara on top to give definition but with no colour to smudge. I'm lucky in that I have fairly long thick lashes naturally but this works for me.

BTW, don't be afraid to take it back if it is really bad and is e.g. waterproof. I love my No 7 extreme length waterproof mascara and accidentally bought a similar one instead one time. It was really clumpy and smudged really easily. I took it back to Boots and they refunded me and I bought the correct one. I think this was less of a problem because Boots own brand makeup and cos it was supposed to be waterproof and therefore less smudgy.
  • I have very oily skin and oily eyelids, only one mascara works and that's Estee Lauder double wear, everything else ends up coming off under my eyes and I have tried just about everything out there before finding this.

I absolutely ADORE Revlon's 3D Extreme Waterproof mascara.

Currently £2.50 in B&M's. Makes my naturally long eyelashes look even longer and really picks them up individually :)

I don't wear makeup as a rule unless it's special occasions as I overheat easily, but I make an exception for this as it really makes me look awake. It has never run or smudged on me, despite how hot I get.

Over the years I have tried various mascaras but what ever I use, including waterproof, always ends up smudged under my eye, and no, not as a result of rubbing eyes. Even if I just put it on myotop lashes. This also includes an eye liner I might use under bottom lid.

Does anyone else have this problem? It would be really nice to occasionally use a bit of eye make up but it looks awful within a few hrs. I just don't want to buy any more if I can find that for somepeople this just happens - maybe my eyelashes are quite oily or something and it just somehow slides off?

Bourjois Clubbing waterproof as advised by glowgirl, I too had the same problem, this is the ONLY mascara ever to stick on me & trust me, I've tried them all.

Bourjois Clubbing also do a liquid liner - I use that too.
  • Mascara is something of a specialist subject for me - much to the anguish of my bank manager :(

    Best I have found are:

Cheap - 2True (Superdrug) only about 2 quid or Miss Sporty (apparently loads of make up artists use them). I also like Boots Natural Collection Waterguard, which is only £1.99 I think.

Mid Range - Rimmel are always reliable - I'm using Extra Wow Lash as my everyday at the moment

All time favourite (not Money Saving!) - Chanel Inimitable Intense. Just superb.

One of my managers at work bought me some of this during the summer as a thank-you for doing her a favour, and I found it totally useless, within 10 minutes i looked like a panda that hadn't slept for a week! Was gutted but I half put it down to the heat and stuck it in a drawer.

Tried it again yesterday as was staying at home but er.. need to look nice, had a not very romantic moment of potential new BF asking if I'd been thumped :rotfl:

I wish I would take my own advice!

    No way

It always works brilliantly for me - I do use the waterproof one. And it is V cold where I live, no chance of it melting, even in the so-called summer....
