  • Hello!
Have you thought about opening a FAcebook account, just for your wedding? Then you could post on the wall about things you've bought, and make a photo album, of all the things you've bought up to now.
People could then give their opinion on what you have, if you want them?

Private obviously. Some people can be horrible on Facebook.

Maybe invite people you like and trust to be friends.

Hi Jonty, no I hadn't really thought about a facebook account for my wedding - is this something people do?

So, it's Monday, hope you all had a good weekend and those who were getting married this weekend had a lovely time. It certainly looks that way from the picture which have already been posted.

On Friday I saw the town hall again and took this
    th_WP_001209.jpg?t=1321293170
to remind me of what it looks like inside. The people were just so lovely and I know that despite the chairs being a little 'town hall like' it will be gorgeous on the day.

The flowergirls tried their dresses on th_WP_001304.jpg?t=1321293171

and I still think I have to change Farrah's dress to a white one. They looked super cute, even if Holly threw my carefully made bouquet on the floor. I knew I was right to do fakes! She was also right as after a meeting with the florist today I have decided on hyacinths and grape hyacthins, which don't match at all what I had in mind for the little two!

Hmm - I can't seem to be able to upload any pictures - do I need some special place to host my pictures?

I use photobucket to host mine as it gives me a link for the image not sure if it's the best.

Another busy week. My shoes have arrived http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SCHUH-WOMENS-SILVER-FABRIC-HEELS-SHOES-SIZE-3-/250933782664?pt=UK_Women_s_Shoes&hash=item3a6cd1a888 and I paid £20,including postage. They are gorgeous - and the mark that made them such a reasonable price is so small and on the heel that you can barely see it! They fit well, but oculd do with a bit of breaking in, so if you happen to call around my house and find me in thick socks and heels you know why!

My buckets for the kids favours have arrived. They are small, but perfect for kids favours. Just the adult ones to think about now - I'm popping into Betty's in Harrogate in a few weeks to look at their treats. The OH's cousins work there and can get a discount, which will really help!

On Tuesday we went to register our intention to marry - which was VERY exciting. Following that we got to try our meal and it was just delicious. We know we have booked the right place now.

Perhaps most excitingly the invites have arrived and are briliant. Yesterday I composed a letter to go with them and today I will be copying the menus, as we need everyone to choose before, and then we will be sending them. I hope our guests will be as excited to receive them as we will be sending them!

    Thank you, stationaryace.

More developments this weekend. I have addressed all our day invites and just need to print out the menu choice and letter accompanying it. My Mum, who is the only one with a copy of it all, thinks they are really good, which was pleasing.

Whilst in a garden centre yesterday - apart from being sat beside a Man U footballer for lunch - I spied some fake tiny alpines in tiny glass jars. They looked great and will be brilliant on the kids table. They were about £4 each, so I bought 2 larger plants, which I will separate and put in little ikea tealight holders. They will be cute on the seaside themed tables.

Today I have been sorting out flowers. I had asked a florist to price some things up, but I realised that we couldn't afford her, or justify her, as I love doing flowers. So I have been in discussions with Triangle Nurseries, who sell and deliver wholesale flowers to anyone. I have to say they have been totally brilliant. From a vague idea of what I want I now have an exact list of what I will need for my bouquet, a wrist corsage, 7 button holes and a table arrangement. I have decided on a palette of blues (Hyacinths), whites (Freesias), some large dark leaves, some lime green berries and some lime green ball shaped flowers. I have asked for one more suggestion of another flower to add. I can not recommend them highly enough.

I am tempted to order some flowers before, just to have a go at arranging some. Maybe my parents will enjoy some for Christmas!
