    Hi Solventsoon:-
good to know someone else is burning the midnight oil. I'm doing some admin, the sort the government make you do but don't pay you to do it. It's called VAT returns.

    Morning all!

Popping in to say that yesterday was not a NSD as I had some grocery shops to buy.
On the plus side - my fleabay stuff is going well up to £15 and my listing doesnt end till Friday! I decided to spend anything I make, so I have successfully bid on a per una wool skirt, a per una silk mix blouse, a brand new m&$ bra, a gorgeous handbag ( fior€lli) and a pair of jersey trousers all for a not-too-shabby total of £30. My sales will offset that nicely! I am trying to replace stuff in my wardrobe as things are starting to get too big, but I cant afford a new wardrobe!

Will be aiming for a few NSD's to make up for that! To think not so long ago I used to spend ( on cc) about 4 times that every Saturday shopping without batting an eyelid! I am more thrilled with my €bay bargains than any of that stuff!;)

    Have a lovely day everyone!

I'm aiming for my first NSD today, but of course the idea of not spending is making me want to spend money :rotfl::rotfl:

I know that the first day I have to spend money will be Wednesday when I am going to Fat Club and will be buying biscuits from there, so I'm aiming to get a NSD today and tomorrow. We'll see how that goes!
  • Thanks everyone :) I don't want to keep saying he hasn't been found yet as it's a bit depressing for everyone.....I am not really holding out much hope now all I can do is hope he was found by somebody and they are taking care of him....I know sometimes the microchips get 'lost' and he doesn't wear a collar as they always disappear after a couple of days of wearing!

Please don't give up .... one of my pal's cats went missing and they searched everywhere for her for a few weeks and then gave up all hope (she was an older cat and they feared the worst).

Anyway, my pal walked in from work one afternoon, went through to her bedroom and there was the cat curled up on my pal's bed. Everyone was delighted (naturally) and the cat was a bit bemused why everyone was making such a fuss - it was over 5 months later!:)
My two cats have cost me £700 in the last month.....

Ohhhhh myyyyy ..... hope they're both recovered. I honestly think it's one of the reasons there's unfortunately so many pets in rescues now as inexperienced people think a pet would be nice and think a bag of food here & there, litter etc but have no idea of the real costs involved.

Mine cost a fortune - to me they are worth every penny as I'd be lost (and very lonely) without them - and I'm happy to make the sacrifies to be able to afford them but I realise that not everyone's able to do this unfortunately.
:( Just spoke to DH, vet thinks he's either had a stroke or a heart attack. Stroke unlikely because of his age, bloody fireworks have probably given the poor thing a heart attack. I've decided I don't like having pets.

Oh Wannabe, that's awful - I hate fireworks, they cause so many problems. There was loads going off again last night. Hope the wee one pulls through.

They're fine now, thanks for asking :D They both needed dental work doing (one of the poor loves needed three teeth out :()

We're paying for it with savings and hoping that a PPI claim we have put in gets approved, although we have 12 weeks to wait for a decision. I have a slush fund of savings that's to pay off my car loan early, but if anything else happens to the cats I wouldn't hesitate to spend it all. We're going to be their forever home - their last owners gave them up when they were 8 and we've had them for four years now - so I know that there will be more expense to come ;)
