No spending here so far
I'm home for lunch which is a whoopsied M&S sandwich bought at the garage last night (80p instead of £2.50 :money:) and am about to fill a flask before returning to the office so I can have tasty coffee instead of the swill from our coffee machines. Hopefully I'll spend nothing all day!

So todays NSD was a failure...

Good luck with the car risingfromtheashes
:jI've been out on my own for the 1st time in 8 weeks!:D I'm almost delighted to say it's not a NSD for me!
Managed to get a pair of wellie type boots on - they were uncomfortable so going to have to hunt the wardrobe as I need something very wide & loose but with a very thick sole.
Also managed to use the car too!:D - clutch work wasn't great and I did get a bit stuck on a hill:o but not too bad for a 1st attempt.
Once out the village it was OK as no "clutching" required but I felt like a learner all over again and made it up to 40mph up the hill and felt like I was doing 100 mph:eek:. However, it gave Teeny a bit of a run which I'm sure did her good after lying so long.
I popped into the Co*op on the way back to get a refund (was overcharged last week when DM took me down) and picked up a couple of 4 pack of mini-choc bars for £1 each (I'm not a choc fiend but hate the thought of being stuck in the winter so these have gone into the emergency supply cupboard), some jammy dodgers which were BOGOF and a bottle of Diet Coke - unfortunately this wiped out my refund by about £2! Nevermind .....
Sorry:o I know I must sound a bit of a loon being so excited but it was just sooooooo good to get out the house by myself!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Hi everyone,
Just checking in after a very spendy weekend. The concert on Friday was excellent but we bought McDs for tea on the way there and then had to pay £8 to park , which i was not happy about
Saturday was grocery shopping, which hopefully means more nsd's in the week, and then bowling. We had a free evening of firework entertainment though as we found some fireworks we've had in the shed for years and set them off - amazed they still worked!
Bought some Christmas presents on Sunday - not many left to get nowand getting very excited about Christmas!! :xmassmile
.
So not a very cheap weekend but hopefully I'll get back on track this week. So far so good today - I resisted buying anything sweet as I discovered a rocky bar in the bottom of my work bag
So sorry to hear about your guinea pig wannabe - its always very sad when a pet dies.No more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.
Target for 2018 = 7/21
No more buying DVDs ? 2018 target 27/52

You don't sound like a loon at all, rising, you're sounding remarkably sane for someone who's been stuck in the house for nearly 8 weeks.
Good for you and Teeny (I presume that's your car's name:D), roll on the second outing. xxThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Thanks:D yup, Teeny's my car - she's an I10 and is fab:D... does around 47mpg, costs £30/year road tax and the servicing costs are less than 1/2 my old car. I honestly don't notice the difference in power at all (probably as she's so small and much lighter) but was a bit worried she was too small when I got her ... but there's enough room for the dog on the backseat so that's all that really matters!
You've got me thinking about car names now - all mine have been named and I think it's either something you always have done/will do ... or you think it's nuts that people do it!:)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Is it too late for a newbie?
been reading for ages and now need the extra kick up the proverbial not to go oot with xmas etc ( although the quick grabbit board is probably more to blame).
Can i be put down for 10 please, i have done 3 so far, although being poorly with asthma has helped(lol, has to be an upside!).
Sorry, i waffle....
jodie xOk, ok, i need to go back onto Weightwatchers, lost 7 stone..... 2 back on, this has to change.....Help!!!:eek:0 -
Haha rising... I've always named cars! My current one is called Little Brum, and my sister's Nissan micra is called Bert. Little Brum didn't have a name for a while as I didn't like him much when I got him, but it sort of stuck in the end, and now I have grown fond of the dear chap! :rotfl:“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”
