Wow flying they're doing pretty well indeed if they're 12 now. I did an afternoon once in a pet insurance call centre listening in to the calls, mostly being told that 'sorry, but you're not covered for that' etc.
We get HB so we get PDSA treatment for them. If we didn't get the HB we wouldn't be able to afford vets bills even for 2 little piggies and a hamster and they're really good down there.
Well Darwin didn't make it. His heart was all over the place and he looked like he'd lost the fight so we had to make the decision to let him sleep. He looked so peaceful when DH brought him home. He'll be going back later to be cremated as we think ds2 would try to dig him up if we bury him. He was very upset this morning once he realised he wasn't going to come back to life and Blaster, our other guinea pig is very subdued. I just hope he doesn't pine for him. They've been together forever and had a great relationship and he's clearly missing him already. I think he knew when it happened as he suddenly started going mad at about the exact time the vet was doing it
So no nsd for us today as we're goign to get him a new hutch plus we'll give the pdsa a donation for the cremation and I think an extra treat for ds2 will be in order as well.

Morning all
Help:- Is there a thread on here somewhere about selling on ebay. I have never done it (although I have bought, but only twice, and have a paypal A/C) I don't know how to get started. Don't know the first thing about what you have to do. I think in many ways I'm a bit scared of making a hash of it. My mobile phone doesn't take photos - sad, but I'm of a generation that thinks a microwave oven is a new fangled object - very sad.0 -

good to know someone else is burning the midnight oil. I'm doing some admin, the sort the government make you do but don't pay you to do it. It's called VAT returns.
Eeek zafiro... I don't envy you that job. I have my tax return to do and keep putting it off!
Most of my updates are around 12-1am, I'm a night owl, see you around:Dzafiro1984 wrote: »Morning all

Yup, that's always an issue with the insurance co's - they rarely pay out for things like dental work, prescribed foods etc which is a con IMHO. The cats are insured (but not the dog unfortunately) but I still have a "pot" I stick £10 for both of them away each month into as they are more than likely to need their teeth done at some point.
Fresian - ouch! poor wee button - hopefully she'll be feeling a lot more comfortable once all healed up.wannabehermit wrote: »Well Darwin didn't make it. Awwww hun, so sorry to hear this (((hugs))) and hope Blaster's not too stressed without his buddy.
Am going to attempt to go for a drive shortly - the car's been sitting for 8 weeks so really needs a run and if I can manage to get out of the village  they'll be no "clutching" required. Hoping to get back to work next week so really need to establish if I can manage to drive pretty soon. Wish me luck - I feel like a beginner again!:D
Waiting for a delivery to arrive first - it's apparently on the lorry but no idea when it'll turn up. Hoping it's quite soon!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I'm so sorry about your pets, I was devastated when we had to put ours to sleep. I would like to get another as they complete the family but with me working all day and long hours then it wouldn't be fair to the dog. Sending you big hugs.
