ooh, forgot to post this week's budget. :)

Food £60.00 (I did a food shop on tues so don't really need that much, but with this I have to get an outdoor pe kit for the little'un :))
Petrol £20.00 (have a course in Nottingham on Mon)
    Parking £10
    Dance £5.00
Savings £100.00 (This is money my dad gave me towards a mortgage deposit before we went away, but I've not yet transferred it to my account. Will transfer it tomorrow once my tax credits have gone in. :))
    very £76.68

    Total out £271.68 Total in
    £271.68

Yesterday I had to pay £10.50 for a school trip, and I nipped to ASDA to pick up some paint to do a bit of decorating which needed doing in the house. Managed to get a big tub of emulsion, gloss, brushes, white spirit and some table varnish for £18. Bargain! :)

Sounds like a brilliant trip Sar. It should leave you rejuvenated for months to come. Lucky Ash, I am so jealous. What a wonderful memory for her. After all your hard work, the trip was thoroughly deserved and very obviously enjoyed by one and all. Have fun sorting your photos, rather you than me with that volume. ;)

    Afternoon. :)

Had to nip out to Asda again today for a few foody bits to get us through to next week. Managed to get myself a pair of jeans (finally!) and the outdoor pe kit but only spent £41.76.

Because I spent less than the £60 budget I decided to fill up the tank with petrol so I don't have to spend any next week and save a bit of cash. To fill up the tank cost £39.09. :)

Makes no real difference massive to my other budgets too so all is good :)

    Happy Friday!

Tax credits went in today, so I've paid off £75.83 off the BNPL on my very account. There's £270.17 left (not including the 3 months interest fee I'm paying at £50 for the next couple of months :))

Checked my account today and got the proper breakdown of what's left:
    £89.17 0% til 15th June
    £181 0% til 13th July

It gives you the option of paying off individual items so the payments I've been making have been going on the one ending sooner obviously. Next week I should be able to pay off another £75 from my weekly budgets, but it's also payday on Thursday and I should have some extra leftover to be able to possibly clear it in full or at least the bulk of it within the next couple of weeks. I've had all my bills in bar the holiday club fees and currently have £279 spare. Invoices for holiday club should be coming out next week apparently so will be able to update the final amount when I get it :)

It's also mine and DP's 3 yr anniversary next week (3 years ) so we're hoping to go out for a meal. But more about that in next week's budgets :rotfl:

I haven't yet transferred the £100 to my mortgage deposit account, as if I did I'd only have £15 left in the account and prefer to have a bit of a buffer juuust in case until Tuesday when the child benefit goes in. There's nothing due to go out but I'd rather be on the safe side :)

    Evening all!
Have been quiet the past couple of days as haven't been very well. Ended up getting a bad skin infection thanks to a lovely Majorcan Mosquito so have been on high dose antibiotics and antihistamines for the weekend which was nice.. I've lost track of what I've spent as the pills knocked me about a bit. I didn't spend massive amounts though so it hasn't knocked me off track really.

Have been thinking about other ways of budgetting to start building up my (non mortgage) savings asap to give me a buffer. Was thinking about if I could spread out paying the very as long as possible, obviously still paying it off within the 0%.

    It would work like this:

Very payments to clear within the 0%
    25th May £29.72
    1st June £29.72
    8th June £29.73
    15th June £36.20
    22nd June £36.20
    29th June £36.20
    6th July £36.20
    13th July £36.20

total £270.17 ( not including the 3 months 0% which I'm paying off as a normal monthly bill)

That would give me two options really for this week's budget.

Budget option 1 - spreading Very out for as long as possible:

    Food £60.00
    Petrol £0.00
    Social £25.00
    very £29.72
    Dance £18.00
    Savings £100.00
    Car savings £25.00
    Debt £20.00

    Total out
    £277.72
    Total in
    £278.12

Budget option 2 - normal budget paying off very ASAP and saving after its paid off.

    Food £60.00
    Social £25.00
    very £75.12
    Dance £18.00
    Savings £100.00

    Total out £278.12
    Total in £278.12

Still haven't had the holiday club fees so still waiting to confirm the monthly budgets. But mulling over whether it's better to get savings but up quickly. I need to start savings for the summer holiday childcare fees, but I can do this over June/July. Just not sure what to do really! Will have a think about it, but would appreciate any input from others reading this! :)

You're all very quiet of late! Nethertheless I shall continue talking to myself.

    Good evening!

Starting to feel a bit better and the antibiotics are working (including feeling less woozy which is nice, had an interesting moment the other day when it felt like I was driving on the wrong side of the road...eeer...). Thanks to my beloved daughters I now have a cold, but that I can deal with.

Glad to be back at work and getting back into a routine. As much as I like time off I get very bored and cabin fevered being stuck in the house day in day out. I can't hack it I need to be doing something involving talking to other adults. :)

It's payday tomorrow which is nice, but I've still not had my holiday club fees which is annoying as I want to be able to sort out my bills and monthly budgets! Going to chase it up tomorrow as they'll be closed now. Very frustating though as I'm a very impatient person. Possibly one of the rare people that WANTS bills.. lol.

Still can't decide what to do with my weekly budget and whether to start the savings pots or get the very account paid ASAP. I think I'll wait and see what I've got left from my monthly budgets and go from there.
On a happier note I've sold a camera filter on preloved which I've recieved a fiver plus £3 postage for today. Have put the cheque into my savings account rather than my normal account so I won't miss it. Still have everything else listed but nothing's really going. Will update as/when on those!

Hope everyone's enjoying the warm weather. I will leave you with some updates to my spending diary for now. Well.. my spending diary is screwed this month so I'm going to start afresh properly from June, the holiday and being doped up on meds has made me lose track. I'll add what I can remember though!

    Dance £4
    Dance award presentation tickets £14
Sandwhich bags for school lunches £1.85
Birthday cake £1.62 (reduced from £6.50 so couldn't resist. It's lasted for 4 days worth of puddings even though my birthday isn't for another couple of weeks! lol!)
    School trip £10.50
    Work lunch £2
    Antibiotics prescription £7.50
    Antihistamines £3.50

I *think* that's everything. My memory is very foggy from these pills!
    Oh well.. that'll do pig.

    Good morning all!
Today is payday, hurrah! I've paid my before/after school club fees and emailed the holiday club to chase up their invoice, transferred that £100 to the mortgage deposit account and rejigged my budgets. As it stands this I have £352.12 spare this week inc the monthly budgets, but the holiday club fees have to come off that.
The holiday club this month is for 3 days at £20.50 each a day so it's going to be at least £123 plus the costs of any trips, but that said it should still leave me with a decent amount iof surplus. :)
I'm swaying more towards paying off whatever is left after the holiday club fees as a lump sum off the catalogue, pay off the rest over the next couple of weeks and then save in lump sums.
I'm also due approx £60 in expenses for a course I went on recently which I drove to and was a fair distance away. Not sure whether to put this into savings or pay it off the very. I suppose either way it doesn't make a difference as will end up better off anyway, just depends on whether that is sooner rather than later!

Right, off to work. Catch you all later! Food shopping tonight!

Quick update, got my holiday club invoice, which was £154 including some trips they're going on. Because of that I've paid off the very BNPL in full. :T Woohoo! £270.17 paid off and sig updated. Will have £80-90 to make up for the bills money, but I can do that over the next few weeks easily plus will have my expenses to come in soon so that'll make it up quickly. Feels great to have it paid off and now I can stop worrying about it and concentrate on getting a savings pot behind me :D

Going to go do our food shop in a bit, and then off out for steak with DP as it's our 3 year anniversary today. 3 YEARS. Where the hell did that go? :)
