Great news about the house fallen.
Just back from shopping. Did pretty well actually I am impressed as I thought the birthday cake would tip us over budget.
Aldi £48.54
Asda (birthday cake + candle) £10
Asda £11.49 (Rest of shopping)
Total £70.03. 3p over budget! Damn that 3p... :rotfl:
Have updated my spending diary and seen that this month so far I've spent £1020 on everything bar bills :eek:That's shocking! We're only 15 days in! Granted £460 of that has been JUST on one offs (tyres, fridge and oven ) but still! That's a crazy amount of money
I have totted up the rest of my budgets now I've done my shopping..
Food £70.00
Petrol £35.00
Social £50.00
Bills £51.50
Dance £10
Total out £136.50
Total in
£197.73
Surplus £61.23
I've made a slight amendment in that I realised that I don't need to budget for the train fare until next week's as the course is on friday, so instead of having £40 social £10 train I've just added the tenner to the social. I'm hoping I won't spend this much but I don't know how much parking etc is at the NEC and no doubt Ash will want a tshirt or something. If I have any spare it'll go towards the surplus though.
I'm hoping that I won't have to make up that much to the bills account. I've been gradually updating my bills as I've had them and presuming that I have no council tax this month, my rent doesn't increase until NEXT month, and my before/after school clubs fees don't come in at more than £200 (guesstimated) I should only have maybe £50 or so to make up with the bills, and anything I have extra I can use to replace the holiday fund I used.
Also received a cheque for one of my gumtree items today. An extra £5 which can go into replacing the holiday savings along with the £3.10 from quidco too. Intend to replace the holiday savings, then pay off the catalogue 0%/pay for my upcoming MOT. Will look into paying off the barclaycard remaining balance once I've sorted those out.
Have had a stressy month with money because of all of these extra bills. Looking forward to getting back to normal.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

I'm sure you get a couple of quid off NEC parking if you book it online, and it saves queuing for the ticket booth too.0

This is all I could find, so no good to you:
Car Parking
The NEC has over 22000 car park spaces. Car park charges may apply. Visit What's On for event specific car parking prices.
If car parking charges apply and you are purchasing your show tickets through The Ticket Factory, you may have the option of pre-purchasing your car parking ticket in advance at a slightly reduced fee. This is only available on certain shows and at the same time as purchasing your show ticket through The Ticket Factory. (Also see “Shuttle Service” for further information)0 -
Evening all. I am soooooo glad it's the weekend! It couldn't have come soon enough!
Need to update my spending diary as we had a few spends today. To treat the girls and cheer them up (for reasons I won't go into on here..) we rented a movie and got pic'n'mix from blockbuster which came to £8.97.
I also bought lunch at work from greggs for the first time in god knows how long and that was £1.90. Just one of those where I fancied it after having a manic week/rough day. I had taken my lunch in with me! It was a nice change though.
Have also had to spend £4 on school disco tickets which I wasn't expecting thanks to peer pressure from the short ones... lol
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day as it's Ash's birthday. They're being taken shopping by a family member so aren't going dancing, and then we're off to JLS in the evening. She's veeeeery excited! Sunday we're being taken out for a meal by DP's parents for mother's day so all in all it's going to be a busy fun packed weekend.
Had my council tax bill today, my first payment this year isn't til after I get paid in April so that's good and takes the pressure off this month. It's also not increased which is another bonus!
All I'm waiting for bills wise is to confirm when my rent changes, my mobile bill, my halifax min payment and my before/after school fees then I'll know exactly what I need to make up. Hopefully that'll come soon and I can relax a bit...
Have a good weekend all! Happy St patrick's day/mother's day too!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Morning all.
Ash had a fab day yesterday and loved going to JLS. We got brilliant seats also so all my anxieties about buying online from Seatwave were unfounded. We were literally within throwing distance of the stage and she had a brilliant time. Worth every penny. We ended up leaving early as she was getting tired (We left not far from the end so didn't miss too much, maybe the last 1/4..) and took a detour for a late night maccys on the way home too.
In other news, I am completely and utterly p*ssed off with money. My income is going down(I can't disclose all the reasons why as I don't know who's reading this, and there's issues pending too.), and my bills keep going up. I'm seriously hacked off this month.
In april it looks like my tax credits are going to drop £30 a week..
My water bill has gone up
My rent's increased £30 a month
I've just had my gas/elec bill and some how I'm £419 in debit (I've been with them 6 months over winter) and they want to increase my payment each month from £60 to £112 to cover the year! !!!!!!?? I'm NOT impressed. I switched to them because a comparison site said they were the cheapest, and now I'm going to be paying loads more for seemingly no apparent reason! It's not been that cold this year so I haven't had the heating on as much, so I just don't get it. I'm going to call them as I'm not happy about my monthly payment nearly doubling, but if they won't drop it I'm not sure what else I can do other than write a formal complaint. But I use what I use...
I'm just seriously hacked off. Just when it seems I'm making progress something comes and kicks me in the !!!!.
In more positive news, my £3.10 from quidco has been paid in so I've sent it over to the holiday fund, along with a £5 cheque I've received for one of my gumtree items. I also have £9.70 leftover from my 'JLS' budget which I'll put in the holiday fund too.
In all I was left with £62 leftover from my weekly budgets. So will see what else I have to make up considering my new gas/elec bill once I get my childcare fees in.:mad::mad:
Seriously had enough today. Got very little sleep last night so am tired and ratty, mother's day has been a non starter (I got cards from the kids courtesy of their nan, but that's it. Also when your own mum died 6.5 yrs ago Mother's day is always a touchy subject), and I'm just reaaally fed up. Odd as it sounds I'm looking forward to being back at work tomorrow and having the distraction.
Gah. Roll on May. I reaaaally need that holiday.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Wait a minute,
You've paid them £60*6=£360
You've used £419+£360=£779 over six months, or £1558 on a yearly basis, or
Is that right?
Check your usage, make sure they have the same(ish) value as your meter, and calculate it through manually."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
