The problem with npower is that they only send bills every 6 months, so although you can enter your meter readings it does not really help.
Maybe another spreadsheet is required, where you can enter your readings and the formulas and calculate your own useage. You would like another ss wouldn't you sar ???? lolol0 -

Our internet is down at work today so it's going sooooo slowly. Only 5 more hours to go and there's very little in terms of work I can do until later but even then 99% of stuff we do involves the internet! What a nightmare.
Have called the housing association and they're coming to check the heating monday morning. Still need to call Npower though!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

I'm a much happier IA this evening. I managed to speak to an amazing helpful lady at Npower who really went out of her way to help. She contacted my previous supplier to confirm my previous usage, completed reassessed my tariff to see if there was something cheaper which includes a £100 discount in September, and then put me on to a cheaper tariff AND dropped my payments back down to £74 to cover my usage (which will clear the £419 odd bill over the summer plus build up a little bit of credit for the winter to get me back on track.
I'm really impressed with the service from Npower.Just glad to have it sorted now! Feel much less stressed
I've had to rejig my budgets because of that, and also had a buyer for some old bass strings today which is an extra £20 in my pocket. I also found a random £1 coin in the car too. Woo!
So here's my new budgets.
Food £60.00
Petrol £25.00
Social £10.00
Bills £1,556.68
Train fare £10.00
Dance £15.00
Airport parking £22.00
holiday fund £68.16
Total out
£1,761.84
Total
£1,799.43
Surplus £37.59
:T
My youngest has decided that she doesn't want to do her dance exam, whereas my eldest does, so that'll reduce the cost a bit too.
Will probably pay the one exam fee this week which'll be £21.50 then it's done. Next week I'll be paying for the Race for life sign up fees, the week after for my exam fees, and then the week after my MOT. Anything surplus to these will go off the credit card.
It's much easier once I've made a plan and stops me umming and aaahing!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

I never, ever, thought I'd see those words from anyone.

It's Thursday so it's budget update time again having done our food shopping. The girls went to a school disco tonight so managed to do it childfree for once! Somehow I actually spent more! Typical. Though I did get more than was on my list in an attempt to 'stock up' as the freezer was literally empty.
The girls went to the disco with some change for drinks etc, so they had £2 each. K also had to take in a £1 donation to school this morning for ingredients to make a wedding cake for their faux wedding next week so that's £5 spent just on the kids.
Put £20 in petrol in, and have £5 left of my budget. I'm on a course tomorrow so going to see how far £20 gets me and put more in if needed..
Food shopping spends were:
£52.92 in Aldi
£9.02 in Asda
Still impressed with that considering it was only £1.94 over budget even with me buying more AND the girls having packed lunches.
As I said, tomorrow I'm on a course in Brum again for work, so will be expecting to pay £8.50 train fare. Don't plan on spending any money while I'm up there, as we've decided to take the girls out shopping on Saturday afternoon as they've both got vouchers left over from their birthdays to spend so we're going to make a day of it. If it's sunny we might even take a picnic.
From the budgets I have £11.79 spare this week after my budgets, paying for Ash's exam, sorting out the airport parking and replenishing the holiday fund. Not going to pay it off the car straight away and will see what I have left from everything over the weekend. Still have my social budget of £10 left, but I may use that extra £11.79 to see if I can pick up any bits of cheap clothes for us for the holiday as there's a primark and hopefully some stores having sales where we're going shopping on Saturday! Every little bit helps and all that and saves buying a load of holiday clothes in bulk. I've been looking in charity shops but there doesn't seem to be much about and it all seems to be winter clothes noone wants now. The girls are fast growing out of their old sumery type clothes hence having to buy some new ones!
I also need some new clothes. All my clothes are black, goth style, and generally falling apart/full of holes. Not what you need for a summer holiday really!
Then again I'm a woman, like I need an excuse to go clothes shopping.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Morning! Doing a quick update while waiting for my course to start.
Today is payday, so I've paid my childcare fees, replenished the holiday fund, paid for the airport parking (which was £24.99, not £21.99 like it was quoted the other day! Oh well..) And also taken out my budgets for dance, my social spends and for my train fare this morning. Also took out an extra tenner just to take shopping tomorrow just in case we see something worth getting for our holiday. Only bugbear is that it took so long to sort the girls for school and my bills I didn't get time to make lunch! So the £1.50 spare from the train fare will go on lunch today at greggs. Least they're doing cheap sandwiches at the moment!
Anyway, will catch up later. Feels good to be getting back on track after a rough month!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
