    Sunday - drinks £4.10
    - marks and spencers £9.15

    Monday - sainsburys £24.47,

just checked my receipt and found what I thought was 2 for one, was not with the 2 milkshakes I bought. Not happy with that as I could have got two the same in the offer. It said it included limited editions but the one I picked up was not a limited edition, just a new variety and it cost even more! grrrrrrr. So cost as much as having one in the cafe which I wanted to do but thought I would be good and save money.

Sunday - I bought shopping but I don't count this as it came from another budget :)
Monday - £1.72 to post ebay parcel. £30.01 fuel but it comes from another budget too :)

Never sure whether to count posting ebay parcels or not, but I will until someone tells me differently :)

freebyfifty, it's entirely up to you what you count, it's a challenge to help people realise where their money goes on the little things. Having said that, I know you get the money back from eBay, but what I do is when you get paid from eBay, count that as money made that week, and when you post, count that as a spend. That way your profit is shown nicely. But it's up to you entirely!

Frogletina - that's incredibly annoying! I did a similar thing a few weeks ago in Tesco, I saw an offer of veg and thought it was brilliant, £1.50 for a bag of pre-prepared mixed fresh veg, or 3 for £2.50! Happily I picked up 3 bags and trotted off to the self serve tills, and when my shopping came in it was slightly over what I thought, but I had picked up a few extras. Checked receipt when I got home I don't what the sign was for that I saw!!! But I had paid £2 each for these stupid bags of veg! £6!!! Not happy!

saorsie - that's a large budget, was it for a special reason/occasion? Hope you have a good week, anyway!

  • Hello everyone!

Popping in to report that I'm off to a good start with NSDs caught on Sunday and yesterday - so I'm still on zero for this week! :j

However, washing machine has just stopped working, so will probably have to fork out for it to be either repaired or replaced, so I'll probably have a very red week!

    Hi all

Ooo I had a fun day off today! Went to the mall and got loads more Christmas presents for people - Boots have some fantastic stuff this year! Jamie Oliver, Marmite, Nando's gift sets - brilliant! And all on 3 for 2! Now only have one friend left to buy for which will be a bottle of vodka and some new plectrums (he's easy!!!) and just a couple more bits each for mum, dad and sis and everyone else is complete!! SPent £61.20 in Boots, but used my double points voucher and my £5 of points if over £50 spend, so got basically a tenner back in points as well as my saving of £29 anyway! Love a bargain!

Also had my hair done this avo, was sooooo desperate as have missed last couple due to work! Hairdresser comes here when she's finished work and does me mum and dad all at once, and I pay £40 for 2 colours and full cut - 2 hours work really, which would cost me £80-£90 at hairdresser so can't complain!

Did spend from my "spends" budget today too, bought yet more cigs £6.72, Starbucks again earlier with a cake (naughty) £5.35 and some disposable foil trays £1.56 as I want to try a recipe for baked porridge but we haven't got any oven dishes small enough for one portion, and it won't really work for reheating so thought I'd try these out! tomorrow will be the test!!! So that's me over for the week! On my budgets I'm not, as mine run Fri to Fri so I "pay" myself again on Fri which is why I find this one hard to budget!! Technically I won't need to buy cigs till Thur eve or Fri morn, but I have Starbucks Fri too, so a red week for me!

Remaining planned spends: Cigs £6.45, Starbucks £3

If I go to the pub Friday then it will be more than that, but may not as doing 8am to 8pm! Have another day leave tomorrow, yay! Feel very festive!!! I refuse to wrap anything or even buy wrap until December though!

Must. Not, Get. Too. Excited. About. Christmas. Too. Early!

I won't be including groceries/essentials in my spending, they're part of other budgets.

Today, only spent £2.04 - if I'd have got out of bed about 15 minutes earlier, I could probably had made it an NSD but slept terribly last night & didn't have time to make breakfast before leaving the house (made lunch though, which would have been more expensive!).

I also have a new thing I plan to do: every day that I spend less than £5, I'll put the difference into my savings account & see where I get to at the end of the month!

    Sunday: £21.50 (ouch!)
    Monday: £1.65
    Tuesday: £2.04

    Current total: £25.19
Weekly spend challenge: w/c 30th oct:
    £46.69 / £50

    LBM: 26/10/11: £3,500
    Current: £2,659.95
