  • I will have to check on this as I have a cahoot account. They did produce a CCA but i will double the detail to see if i might be entitled to something.

Mine was taken out before 2003.

    I will report back;)

Might be worth checking it for PPI in the first instance.

If you complain about the interest rate hike, it will get rejected 100% without investigation.

Got a mailshot today from Santander, offering me a loan, really are unbelievable.
  • All I can say is Denza keep up the good work. I have received standard reply to my complaint from Santander. They are really smug about the fact that the FOS have backed them up, so I am looking for everyones opinion as to whether I shoulld even bother writing to the FOS.

Best go through the full process. That way if anything comes of Denzas great efforts, it should go in your favour as you have exhausted the official complaints process.

It will also make you feel better as it will cost Santander £500 for the referral fee.

  • Morning Denza

what is the latest with this? Am very interested as I too was royally screwed over with the huge increase of interest rates at a time when there was really no justification to increase at such a rate, aside from making more money from people who had no alternative

    Have requested an update recently.

However as this is not fee-liable work as yet I am not expecting a quick turnaround!

    Cheers, Denza

  • Hi

Both my self and husband had one of these loans each, do you think we can still claim, how would we find out the original account number?

    thanks

    When did the accounts close?

    Still on your credit report?

Send an SAR to Satander with your name, DOB and address at time of having account. Should be kept for 6 years min from settled date.

You could ring then first, but given this thread might not be too willing to help!

Complain, but expect it to be rejected and from FOS. At least if anything comes of legal action you have exhausted the complaints procedure.
