Santander are now refunding interest payments on Cahoot flexible loan's

I've send my complaint into Cahoot early this year, received all the usual crap back, and then logged my complaint the FOS in April, so I'm on the list of those waiting to be giving an adjudicator.
However strangely...
I received a letter from Santander at the weekend, just to let me know they were still looking at my complaint, past the eight weeks, and so on, but it was still ongoing?????
Does the left hand not know what the right hand is doing?0 -
Today,
I have had an update that my credit limit on my Flexi loan has been changed from £7500 ( Original ammount) to £0 even thought I still have a balance
This was one of my main thing I complained about along with the unfair interest rates for 17%.
anyone else had this happen to them?
This has been on my credit report for a couple of months now. I have asked Santander why this is so. They have stated that becasue the drawdown facility has been removed then I no longer have a credit limit, so £0 is accurate.
I have stated that it now looks like I am constantly over my credit limit, which looks extremely negative, but they maintain it is accurate. I am holding out for them to remove the fact that there is a credit limit at all instead of showing one of £0.Santander Loan [STRIKE]£3003[/STRIKE] £2100AA Credit Card [STRIKE]£3148[/STRIKE] £2676Natwest OD [STRIKE]£1500[/STRIKE] £1370Cahoot OD [STRIKE]£1000 [/STRIKE]£650Capital One Card [STRIKE]£641[/STRIKE] £400Total [STRIKE](Jan 12)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£9546 [/STRIKE] £7196 (Now)0 -

Surely all flexi-loans were moved to fixed loans and thereby the drawdown facility was removed. Again, a case of Santander trying to have it both ways irrespective of the impact it has on its customers. If you have any correspondence from Santander stating the switch to 'fixed', I'd send this off to the various CRA's and ask them to adjust your record accordingly.0 -

All my correspondences from Santy insist that the loan is still flexible, based solely on the fact that I can alter my payments at will and overpay without penalty.
They have never told me it is fixedSantander Loan [STRIKE]£3003[/STRIKE] £2100AA Credit Card [STRIKE]£3148[/STRIKE] £2676Natwest OD [STRIKE]£1500[/STRIKE] £1370Cahoot OD [STRIKE]£1000 [/STRIKE]£650Capital One Card [STRIKE]£641[/STRIKE] £400Total [STRIKE](Jan 12)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£9546 [/STRIKE] £7196 (Now)0 -

I too received a letter from Santander this morning stating that they had not yet completed their enquiries, my case has been with the FOS for over a month so why Santander were writing to me was a mystery. The reference number is different to the one on my original complaint, so I phoned them and gave them both reference numbers. In short they haven't got a clue what's going on and are going to ring me back, although I'm not holding my breath. I'll update if they call me
Yep, i just got the same letter through the post. Santy are in a right old mess aren't they!! I got my initial refusal letter in April and sent my letter to FOS in April so months ago!!0 -

Are Santy about to do a u-turn. Maybe the FOS have had a quiet word, and the "still investigting" letters are to be followed by "we've now completed our investigations and you can have your money back".
More likely its Santy not realising that they have already given you an answer and you've gone to the FOS anyway...Santander Loan [STRIKE]£3003[/STRIKE] £2100AA Credit Card [STRIKE]£3148[/STRIKE] £2676Natwest OD [STRIKE]£1500[/STRIKE] £1370Cahoot OD [STRIKE]£1000 [/STRIKE]£650Capital One Card [STRIKE]£641[/STRIKE] £400Total [STRIKE](Jan 12)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£9546 [/STRIKE] £7196 (Now)0 -

Ha, ha, very funny. They've called me back and told me I needed to go to the FOS to get an answer, I pointed out how stupid that was and then we had a sensible conversation for once. The new number is as a result of the FOS contacting them and for some strange reason they generate a new complaint reference number. They couldn't answer why they sent the letter to me though. If the letter is to be believed, then they haven't got the information ready to send to the FOS, altough I think it more likely that this is a computer generated letter after 8 weeks of any complaint, as it's identical to the one they sent me originally. I think the whole situation is a classic case of admit nothing and waiting and see what the opposition have got against you. When faced with the weight of evidence against Santander it seems obvious that they should fold and admit defeat, but they are a business and have to make money, so they'll either hope to get off on a technicality or have a result forced on them by an adjudicator. If they had a "smoking gun" or some clear legal reason on their side why they are allowed to do what they have done, then they would have disclosed it by now, but they clearly haven't.0 -

If I'm to believe the conversations I've had with Santy, then they have about 4 "guns" that they have been using. They are just not sure which (if any) is the "smoking" one as it changes with each passing email!!
Even stranger, each contact is with the same person, so its not like I'm getting a different story from different people. Santy just can't figure out which story they are going to stick to.
I have, of course, made them aware that EVERY email they have sent to me, with all the different excuses, the refusal to answer straight questions, etc, etc will be sent to the FOS if necessary.
I'm expecting the next excuse in a week's time!Santander Loan [STRIKE]£3003[/STRIKE] £2100AA Credit Card [STRIKE]£3148[/STRIKE] £2676Natwest OD [STRIKE]£1500[/STRIKE] £1370Cahoot OD [STRIKE]£1000 [/STRIKE]£650Capital One Card [STRIKE]£641[/STRIKE] £400Total [STRIKE](Jan 12)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£9546 [/STRIKE] £7196 (Now)0 -
Another one here who has received a 'sorry for the delay' letter despite being rejected more than two months ago.
I think I have to wait another four weeks (ie three months from the original date of referral to the Ombudsman) before I start chasing the FOS.0
