Farmer - when did you send your letter to the FOS? You'll have to let us know if you're successful or not!

Just one quick question, I'm in the process of requesting my SAR, did you all address your requests to cahoot via their Bradford address or Santander? If Santander, please can someone confirm the correct address. The ICO lists Santander's registered address in London.

    I made my request to:
    Data controller
    Santander UK plc
    2 Triton Square
    Regents Place
    London
    NW1 3AN

It took them 40+ days to reply, had half the information missing. Gives you something else to put in the FOS complaint.
  • Hi

Just looking to get my complaint ready to send to the ombudsman but was wondering if anyone who's had the standard response from santander re email sent confirming interest rate hikes and that interest rate increase to ensure flexibility of the loan had been sent any evidence from them regarding these points.

I can find no email and I'm certainly not aware that any of the flexibility is still available.

Just wondered if anyone had been sent copies of the email that was supposed to have been sent??
  • I too have a cahoot flexi loan since 2003. Have received the standard rejection letter from Santander and are compiling the letter to go to the FOS. Any help would be gratefully received

    Hi,

    You don't need a letter.

Just fill out the form on here if you have a printer or ring them to post you one if not:

Keep the complaint the same as you put in the letter to Santy

    Good luck

Just been taking to the chap dealing with my complaint to FOS - I am told that senior assessors are now looking into the Santy complaints about unfair interest rate increases. Got the impression they are holding all complaints whilst they work out what to do. So I think they will make a collective decision, hopefully that they are all unfair. It would then be down to the individuals to settle their own with the FOS once the overall case had been decided.

I think the benefit of this is the FOS will have to take into account all the points raised.

Thanks Oracleman. I spoke to the FOS yesterday and I still haven't been assigned an adjudicator, even though they've had the complaint for a while. I'm just waiting for Santander to reply to them and things should swing in to action. it does look as if things may be decided soon though.................famous last words!:money:

All... I put in my complaint to FOS that the interest rate that's on my statements (16.61%) whilst I have been informed recently by Santander that it's 17.94%
Funnily enough I received a "bespoke communication" from them today ....
[I can confirm that your current interest rate is 16.61%, this rate has been fixed since the transfer of your loan to Santander UK Plc, your annual Percentage Rate is 17.94%
We're here to help so if any questions give us a call!!!!!!!

Here to help!!!! Haha. Here to help steal from you.
  • Thanks Oracleman for the SAR address.

Things are moving very quickly at Santander! My standardised rejection letter arrived this morning (dated 18 July 2012). My initial and only email complaint was submitted on the evening of the 17 July 2012!

Obviously I want to proceed with my FOS complaint sooner rather than later but have not received my SAR, and judging by previous posts that could take 40 plus days. Do you think it would be detrimental to my FOS complaint to proceed without submitting this information? Also once your complaint is opened can additional information be provided at a later date?

If you got the standard letter that mentions the FOS then you are entitled to contact them ( as I did) now. Not sure if you can add to complaint but I intend to.
    Good luck
