In addition, each time you take part in a survey or research activity, you will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win £250 of Amazon vouchers.
Following this email from us, Join the Dots will send you a further email with details of the survey and a link for you to click on to complete the registration survey which will enable us to see if you are eligible to join the panel. This will arrive in your inbox tomorrow, and look like this (right).

Please look out for the email from Join the Dots tomorrow.

Thank you for your time in reading this message. We hope that you will register your interest in joining the Santander Together Customer Panel when you receive the email from Join the Dots.
We look forward to hearing your views."

Might just take them up on their 'kind' offer!

I have a cahoot flexiloan started may 2003. I have complained about the rate rises and simply got a standard reject letter. They didn't answer any of my points. Ie I complained it was no longer flexible as I can not withdraw funds and their letter simply stated they hiked the interest to make it competitive with other flexi loans at the time. BUT IT'S NOT A FLEXI LOAN anymore! Can anyone help with what to write to the FOS?
I still owe £4800 and it's at 16.9% now as it has been for years.
    Any comments appreciated

Further to my first post earlier today... I have now read every single thread on all 65 pages.
I too have done some digging. I complained over a year ago (I'd forgotten I had a reply) about this and received a standard reject letter. Bit unfair seeing as all of those who complained in nov/dec 2011 seem to have received good will gestures ( well done guys)
I also called them today to check my apr which I thought was 16.69% as stated in all statements. I was told today its 17.94%
Yet another bit of misinformation from Santander. I'm also going to check regards PPI.
Called the FOS who were very helpful and awaiting their docs to fill out. We all need to stick together here. I've been suffering with this loan since may 2003 and it is absurd to think I was stupid enough to sign up for it but needs must!
Will keep all informed but I would be very willing to sign up for legal action.

    Hi,

Have been floating around this forum for some time and came across this thread. I took out a cahoot flexi loan in August 2005 and have been paying dearly for it ever since!!

Is it possible for someone to pm me a copy of the letter I need to send to Santander to get the ball roling??

Thanks in advance for any help...

J - look back a few pages and you will find one.

Has anybody had a response from FOS lately?

I had my letter from them about 5 weeks ago, "waiting for an adjudicator", so 7 weeks until that happens?!
  • I just spoke to the guy who was the adjudicator on my case, he told me all the santander flexi loan complaints have been grouped together as its a re-ccuring issue, and now the one person is dealing with them all instead of individual cases.Santander have to get back with all the information requested, the guys thinks they have another month to do this. (They have been given longer as there are so many apparently)
....So it looks like everyone is going to win or loose together on this one! Surely its a good thing that they are all been looked at under the same light as the FOS have ruled against Santander for the same thing before? Fingers crossed!

I think this is a very positive position as the FOS will now have to take into account ALL the points raised by the various different people who have complained. We have had some very valid points raised on this forum - Unfair conditions, no longer flexible products etc hopefully these were pointed out to the FOS. It should hopefully make it easier for those that perhaps didn't put such a strong case together to collectively win on the basis of the stronger complaints.

Hopefully the outcome will be FOS rules against Santy and uphold all complaints in bulk and therefore by implication any future cases as well. We will soon find out how independent the FOS really is from the banks.
  • Farmer1971..my complaint was raised in April, so I guess yours is in the same pot as the rest now...I agree with Oracleman that the more the better as the best parts from every claimant will be taken into position...can the banks even afford yet another pr f**k up?
All is left is a suitable battle cry from Cell.....one that makes me laugh louder than 'fishier than Grimsby docks!' lol

Well, I spent a couple of hours last night reading this whole thread, so apologies for asking for a template in my early post!! Now that I think I'm up to date I have a quick question.......
Bearing in mind the quote below, do I send my complaint to Santander and wait for the standard rejection, or do I (can I) go straight to the FOS? If the FOS are looking at these collectively, would any complaint I make to Santander be included, or only ifI go straight to the FOS??

Sorry if this seems a stupid question, but like most I have been paying this back for over 6 years and seem to have actually reduced the balance by very little!!!

    Thanks
