Santander are now refunding interest payments on Cahoot flexible loan's

Ive had an odd letter/flyer today asking if i want to borrow more from them and add it too my existing loan. The letter shows a summary of my existing loan with a repayment date of 31 December 9999 ( im quite excited that they think i will live that long)
The balance is also incorrect but then i dont expect anything else from them.
In the small print it states "This loan is only available by calling the phone number above and quoting the priority code provided"
Maybe they want me to drop my case with the FOS by offering me a new loan now at 6.7% but i have to take £7500-£15000
Ummm let me think FOS do your worstI have nothing to lose and i really dont need or want more debt
MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035
EST DFD JAN 2021 (that needs to change)
NOW JAN 2019 (that still needs to change)0 -

Another bizarre twist to add to case history.
Q4 2011: Santander honour excess interest repayments to claimants
Q1 2012: Santander decline all new complaints
Q2 2012: Santander recalculate some honoured refunds in favour of claimants
Q3 2012: Santander make unsolicited fixed loan offers
Q4 2012: FOS crush Santander with hundreds of adjudications in favour of claimants leading to extended publicity, a flood of new claims, regulatory fines and civil lawsuits against all Flexible Loansharks.
OK, I got a bit carried away at the end
Good luck to all.0 -
Hi would anyone be able to send me a template email that they sent to the FOS. After logging my complaint with Santander I have received my letter of NO 4 days later.... Saying as above that having a flexible loan, rated were compared with other flexible loans at the time... we emailed you...etc... I don't think that they were right and think its worth another shot. Thank you
On Wednesday 8th August I had a phone call from the Complaints Dept asking for more information, DOB, Address etc and to advise me that they have asked for the records from archieve, which should take a day or so.. My letter to advise me that they had investigated and decided that they will uphold my complaint was dated 6th August... which by my reckoning is actually before they got the information!!!0 -

You don't need a letter.
Just fill out the form on here if you have a printer or ring them to post you one if not:

Keep the complaint the same as you put in the letter to Santy
Good luck

I too strangely got a letter from Santy asking do I want to top up my existing loan for a reduced rate (6.7% -minimum 7500)...letter also had a summary of my current loan details as well....
I wonder is this some sort of honey trap!0 -
I got a letter today from the FOS and it says that they have had a large number of similar complaints and are looking at the issues together in order to come to a decision.
So it looks like it may well me all or nothing for everyone!0 -

Yep, i got the same letter this morning. Definitely looks like they're looking at these complaints in conjunction with each other so they can "deal with each case fairly and consistently"...0 -
+1 also got the same letter today!!0

And I didn't:)0

Any updates from those with FOS complaints pending?
Yes, but not much really - a letter from FOS, the important bit of which states:
We have recently received a number of complaints relating to this issue. It is important for us to look at all the issues together, so that we can make sure we deal with each case fairly and consistently.
So seems that other similar complaints ARE relevant in them deciding on an outcome.0
