I really think the best thing HPC website could do now would be to allow bulls to post again.
I just took a look. It's got to be the most boring forum on the internet.
    Arguements need two sides.

I always think it's the same as me starting a forum claiming Ferrari's are overpriced and prices will drop 90%.
If I had 200 members and 100 told me I was wrong and this time next year prices would either be the same of higher.
If I banned them all and kept the members who told me prices would drop like I thought. Would that be a good forum?

I would feel like a plum to be honest.:rotfl:

Saying that, some of the idiot so called bears on here are not worth baiting.

House prices will either stagnate or rise with inflation. That's about it folks.

Not really anything else to say is there really?
Prices won't crash. What is the point keep going around in circles?

I might drop out of all these boards after Xmas. Bored with same old crap day in day out.

Another year gone by. The Jan credit card bills didn't create a mass sell off. The dead cat bounced back. Interest rates didn't hit 10%.
The Express told 100 million people house prices would rise.

    Same same. Boring now.

If the owners let the bulls back the traffic would increase 100% and they would get the chance to unload it.

    No. I wasn't. :D

A whole lot of bonkers postings uncerimoniously deleted as I recall Chuck. Your meltdown really was a sight to see.
Sadly, it proved to be too much even for this locked forum. Go figure.

Well actually geneer you obviously do not remember if you are implying that I deleted 'a whole lot of postings', I did no such thing. There's a lot goes on in your head that doesn't actually transpire in reality isn't there geneer.

And still unwilling to admit that challenging randoms to chess games in the middle of arguments isn't a somewhat mad-eyed.

It was an attempt to move from a pointless trivial internet argument with no possibility of closure to a more intellectual challenge that produces a result. I'm not saying chess is necessarily intellectual but is certainly more intellectual than us bickering about nothing, but I forget that pointless bickering is actually your main hobby in life, whereas chess is one of my interests. If you remember I also challenged Sibley to a game too (and there was no dispute between Sibley and me).

Oh, I don't think you safely can Chuck.

You're a QS then. The most "rock and roll" member of the design team. :rotfl:

That doesn't make any sense geneer what exactly are you trying (but failing) to say about QS's? Please elaborate.

Oh is that what it was. A perfectly balanced and reasonable response. Randomly dropping your academic then professional qualifications into a completely unrelated discussion before angrily demanding a game of online chess.

    I'm just not seeing it.

So you are a QS then? :)

Who was angry? Just because you might have been doesn't mean that I was. I suspect there are a few voices in your head telling you things geneer that aren't necessarily factual.

I have been perfectly open with you and fully explained (you of course have not), what part of

I'm a chartered quantity surveyor working as a university lecturer after a few years of early retirement from my QSing.

did you not understand? Also is this sentence from you actually supposed to mean something:

The most "rock and roll" member of the design team.

Or is it just more meaningless jibberish from you?

There's a lot more to it than counting beans, but then you would have to be able to see it (which I don't think you would).

Boring coming from you! Who spends all his time on the internet bickering, LOL

Are you ever going to say what you do? What are you afraid of? It could be anything of course but it might just be a structural or M&E engineer.

you have a pathological desire to keep house prices high, which i believe is because you are terrified
i think you have over-extended yourself and cannot afford for prices to fall....i can smell the fear in your posts

lets look at some facts, rather than your drivvel
land registry says house prices are down 3.2% in the last year, and the speed of falls is picking up
even kensington and chelsea are showing price falls
look on property snake for the number of price falls
use propertybee software...it shows that virtually every house in every postcode in britain is having money knocked off

i know you thought you would make some easy money out of other people, but you are going to get badly burnt, and i cannot wait to see it happen
you bought a filthy little buy to let house in some undesirable postcode and you can see the walls closing in on you
you are running scared......and we are all laughing at you

I look forward to less "same old crap day in day out".
30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.

Pimperne1 regularly used to drop out of forums, only to reappear days later. I can't imagine simpley will be any different.
